We planned and spent 1 month in January 2014 in South India. We spend 3 days in Mysore. Our first night was at the Lalitha Palace that was unacceptable and moved to the Windflower Resort. The hotel was lovely in a good location and the restaurant and service were excellent. The grounds are well landscaped. We recommend.

We went there on saturday afternoon at 2.30pm, whole objective of the trip was to unwind at the spa. On going to the spa the person at the desk sayd spa booked till sunday afternoon. Absolutely pathetic to hear this from a spa resort, please have enough capacity to cater to your in house guests.
Also there was some party in the adjacent plot, with loud music untill 11pm.
Restaurant was overcrowded, but food wasgood
Overall a poor experince

Thank you for your feedback. We are sincerely apologetic that no slots were available for the spa. The spa in Mysore is a very popular one and we recommend that guests book in advance before arrival. We do hope that you will consider staying at another Windflower soon.

We went to WRS (windflower resort & spa) as a team of 28 members, chose this as its not more than 3-4 hours drive from Bangalore. Booking was done thr' our travel partner - travelife (Bangalore based travel firm), it was smooth from the word go..

reached there on Friday afternoon at 11:30am, there was some delay in giving us rooms as the previous guests hadnt checked out on time.. wouldnt complain much about this, as we never got bored & the surrounding is great for a quick walk around..got some of the rooms upgraded to to suites/villas.. this worked out well for us as well.

swimming pool is clean, good stock of towels.. as we were a big group, no one else was around..

lunch was pre-set menu, we sent out options couple days before checking in.. I actually didnt think it would be that good before actually seeing/tasting it!.. amazing preparation & guys werent tired of their mutton dish..!..good dessert as well

evening was for bonfire, was arranged in an open area with bar/snacks.. have to mention some names here - sriram who managed this for us was very helpful & also madan was extremely polite/stayed with us thr' out even though it was 11pm when we had our dinner, he & his team stayed back to serve..dinner was good, but I dont remember much abt that as we had some good amount of alcohol before that... so !

I had to rush back early next morning, but from what I heard the breakfast was good as well. Couldnt go to the Spa, but the feedback from my team was good, will try it next time

Nailesh was the manager whom I interacted with, professional & helpful.. called him later to check if he could find some of the stuff I forgot in room, has kept it in storeroom for one of us to pick up next time in Mysore..

If its Mysore next time.. its Windflower!.. thanks guys

Room Tip: their villa's are good, with a small swimming pool just for u!, other rooms are good as well

Had two nights in this hotel along with 4 friends. My room was upgraded and we had very spacious ground floor room with veranda overlooking ornamental pool (as did the 'ordinary' rooms). A stroll through the lovely gardens takes you to the outdoor restaurant, to be serenaded by frogs and geese. The food was excellent and very good value - about £4 for fish curry and rice. Cocktails were £2.50. Good buffet breakfast with eggs and pancakes cooked to order in front of you. It's in a leafy, quiet part of Mysore, but near the attractions. The outdoor pool is a bit scruffy, could do with some renovation, but swim after the heat of the day was very welcome. Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

We spent about 2 days and nights. Great ambiance and SPA facilities.

Breakfast was good. the ducks added to the entertainment as we were travelling with kids.

The pool does not have a separate kids pool so that was a big negative as the kids could not get into the water :(

Overall a good place to stay
