“Interesting little attraction in Mysore”
Reviewed 4 May 2014

While wandering around in Mysore we saw small advertisements (billboards) for the Sand Sculpture Museum. Surprisingly the auto driver knew of the place and even had a brochure. He took us there.. it is a small place, but with very interesting sand sculptures. Normally to see this you have to go the Sand Art festival in Puri, Orissa which happens once a year in December. But here you get to see it right in Mysore. We were also lucky to meet Ms. Gowri the young lady artist who has done all these sculptures. Seems it takes a week or more do just one!!

“Awsome work by a teen girl”
Reviewed 12 April 2014

This Sand museum is nothing but scriptures drawn with sand. After visiting chamundi hills on return we reached this spot. This is newly established attraction in mysore.Scriptures consist of Lord Vigneswara, Durga festival in Mysore,Five elements of nature and many more.

After seeing all these we were bit shocked as we came to know that all these done by a single lady who is a drop out from her bachelors. She has used around 15 tonnes of sand to create this.We can have fun by taking pics with all the collection. It over all takes 20 min around to cover and its worth watching

Fare is around Rs40(not sure)
