This is the best-kept secret among all hotels in Mysore! Have used it for decades and come back delighted every time - serene location of Yadavgiri, spacious (lobby/parking) hotel with charm of the 80's and of a sleepy town, simple but functionally complete rooms and excellent view of Mysore. Vegetarian restaurant with good food ideal for a family. The only slight disadvantage could be finding transportation (autos) from hotel - but if you have your own car then this has to be the first choice. I have only gone to other hotels when I don't find a room here.

Room Tip: Ask for room with good view!

The Hotel is located in a very good area which is near to City but yet peaceful, if you are planning to explore the city through public transport or auto then this hotel has a very good connectivity to Mysore City as well as outskits areas. Bus stand is just 5 mins away from hotel, there are ATMs and Bank Branches available at stone throw distance (in case you need cash). The Hotel has a very spacious lobby and even more spacious garden which gives you good feeling. There is ample parking space and rooms are spacious and offers good view of Mysore. Food in resturant is awesome (only for vegans).

Room Tip: Rooms facing the hotel entrace on third and fourth floors offer very good view of Mysore City.

We stopped over for lunch after a visit to Mysore palace. The hotel is located in an upscale locality and has a large lobby which immediately makes you feel welcome. The masala papad starters were a great way to kick start the meals. The thali meals were delicious with a wide variety of dishes. The dosas and puris too were tasty. The kids topped off their meals with ice cream and we were off. The service was prompt and courteous. We had a pleasant experience dining at this hidden gem.

I was at DasPrakash Paradise Mysore on a buisness visit. I had called the reception and informed them for a AC Single room double occupancy. The mentioned teh charges for teh night. When My we reached teh hotel at night I was in for a shock as the receptionist said that it was non AC room and for the AC I had to pay a thousand extra. Nonethe less I had to take it and teh room wasnt clean. the cover sheets had dust and I saw two cockraches. The hot water was stopped a 9:50 pm when their instruction said after 10:00pm there would be no hotwater. Honestly the managment should work on their communication and not bank on past glory. I would not recommend this for any one as is.

The first impression is of great hotel, - big and spacey hall, several world clocks on the wall, nice reception, nice elevator, but after this first impression vanish, you see, that everything witnesses just past glory and now is crying for renewal and renovation. Room is spacey, clean, nice view from the window, nevertheless twice I saw a cockroach. Restaurant, - the same, - needs renewal, change of waiters dress, but the food is tasty and waiters are very kind and helpful. Personnel, - very kind and helpful as well. Price, - reasonable. Very convenient 24 hours check out. So, I think, - IF just a masters touch and we could witness present glory of the hotel.

Travelled to Mysore in the third week of April for a few days. Stayed in Hotel Paradise, Dasprakash group. Centrally located and nestled in a cozy area, there is an old world charm about the Hotel. Spacious rooms, well ventilated, squeaky clean and good food with prompt room service. The curtains in the room looked old and could be re-done. A swimming pool in the hotel would add to the attraction especially for young kids to dive into on a hot summer day. Overall ..value for money. Sandhya Suri
