“Not a five star....”
Reviewed 9 March 2014

I was there for a conference in Mumbai and stayed here....Its definetly a good 3 star, no doubt....Location is convenient, near the airport and easy to get to some good places...

We never received the welcome drink....No one even offered....Which is fine, dont really care but what was really disappointing, was not being allowed into the fitness center....Even a 3 star hotel these days have a fitness center and all you have to do is to book a room to use it...But in this one, we need to inform them while booking in advance...We cannot even pay extra money to use the fitness center...This was really disappointing....I need the fitness center where i go and this just didnt work for me with respect to this point...

A very beautiful and comfortable property in the heart of Mumbai. Of course with the overall infrastructure development, access to Sahar hotels has become far more convenient. This hotel provides you with spacious rooms, great landscaping and greenery, all modern facilities and relaxation options, buzzing restaurants with good international food options and a hospitable staff. It can be an ideal place for a nice get-away as well as a very convenient and good option for the business traveler.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the green landscaping at the rear can be a good option. Also, rooms overlooking th...

Staid here for only two weeks:
+ Rooms large, sylish, well maintained, clean and silent.
+ Super friendly staff.
+ 2 liters complementary water per day.
+ Free access to the club: 50 meter pool (26 degree), large gym, squash cort, play room, library room.
+ Only 3 minutes to the airport.
- Very slow WiFi for 3500 IRS/week.
- Not much choice at breakfast buffet.
- No fresh juce at breakfast.
- Dry line is located outside the bath tub. If you hang wett things it will flod the floor.
- Bar & Grill restaurant can easily turn into a smoke chamber if someone orders something from the grill.

Highly recommendable :-))

Both the hotel and club were kindness itself to us. The rooms are lovely, the breakfast HUGE and, if you get one of their special deals, the airport drop off is wonderful. You have full access to the gorgeous club and spa with its fabulous pool, games room (we played pool in the evening) and very comfortable private cinema, (we enjoyed Eat, Pray Love, seemed appropriate!). The room price is reasonable but food and drinks are a fairly expensive - for India. If you need a place to stay for the night before a flight home I cannot recommend this too highly. It is, however a longish way from the city centre if you should want shops, clubs or bars. if you don't have a deal with a free car then when you come to leave I would walk down the drive and out of the gate, where you can easily pick up a tuk tuk. The hotel car is much more expensive. It can also be a real problem finding a tuk tuk or taxi who knows where the hotel is, so if you are arriving by train or plane it is probably worth the money to arrange to be picked up by the hotel. PS Although it is right by the airport I never heard a single plane!

Room Tip: We had a 'Fire' themed room. It was very spacious, quiet and with a wonderfully comfortable...

I stayed at the hotel for 1 night. I had a special rate which gave me free airport pick-up and drop etc. The pick-up and drop was done in a brand new Audi car (WOW) . The breakfast was very good. The staff tries to go the extra mile to service you.

The only downside was that the hotel is basically part of a club, and is in a side lane.
No normal taxi is available, and if you want to go out, you need to take the hotel taxi, which costs you almost double the price. The city taxis will drop you, but not available outside like other taxis.

Room Tip: Rooms on the Ice floor were good.

I stayed in the Waterstones Hotel in Mumbai twice. It is something different. The interior, the club with a lovely Spa and Pool and the restaurant. It is located close to the International Airport. It is a good alternative for travellers who like to be pampered for a good price.

I found the hotel good and European style. For short stay is good location as it's close to international airport. I still think for tourist the hotel is but far from area like bandra which is happening place. The traffic to reach from this hotel to bandra was really bad as there was road work undergoing.
