Beautiful sea side place with excellent view, good for weekend stay with family / friends. Reaching the place is comfortable from Malad. One can park their car at the resort's parking area (for a small fee) & get in to a ferry service which take you across the manori island jetty. From there to the resort one can get in to a tonga or auto ( the boat ride & tonga is fun especially for kids). The resort does not have many activities to do ....only few indoor games but the beach more than compensates. The water is okay and not many hawkers (only few gola walas). The cottages are nice, opt for the one's face the sea. Unfortunately none were available when I booked. The place could have easily scored five star but for the food price. The quality of food is nice but the quantity & the price charged for the portion is obnoxiously over priced (lunch for 5 about 3000).
Overall the stay was comfortable and my family (5 adults, 2 kids) enjoyed it a lot.

Room Tip: Choose sea facing rooms

I stayed at Manoribel a good many years ago in one of their seaside facing cottages. At that time they were pretty basic but comfortable with a lovely terrace and a 70mm view of the sea. The food was also very good and the beach super clean. I hear since then they renovated and I would love to go there again for a long weekend. I hear the prices are now also a bit steep, but it's worth it.

The location is very beautiful and easily accessible for a quick weekend getaway from Mumbai.
Multiple price points for stay as per your need. Property is also well maintained however can do with a little refurbishment to make it excellent.
The staffs good and friendly. The management is very strict though ( I guess needed for that location to control quality of crowd). Service can be a little quicker.
No discounts on rates. Ensure you book before you travel on weekends.
Cottages are clean and spaces, need a little up-liftment. No TVs in the room( you don't even need them there). Huge bathrooms
Food is good and traditional.
Beach is readily accessible and clean.
Enough security.
Overall great place for a quick weekend getaway . Value for money.

Room Tip: Sea facing Cottages !!!

We went there during mid-monsoon and the location was heavenly because everything was so sprightly green. The setting is gorgeous especially if you have a sea-facing cottage (we had one). Our door opened right out to the sea and we had a little porch where we had our evening tea. There were times when it would rain and we could just sit out there and watch the rain merge with the waves. It was divine. The food quality is strictly average and the service is slow. Outside alcohol is not allowed and their menu only has overpriced beer and wine. The estate is huge so we took a nice, leisurely walk every evening. All in all, I wasn't disappointed at all.

Room Tip: Go for the sea-facing cottages instead of the garden rooms. You'll not regret it.

Best place to go in monsoon. Great value for money. Clean rooms and great food makes the combination tempting. Also the private beach is icing on the cake.

It is also ideal for a intra day trip. Their machans and swings are great stress busters.

Although since bookings can not be made online, it could be a little painful.

Room Tip: Look at getting sea facing rooms

Manoribel is located bang on the Manori Beach. If you are looking out for a quiet place only to rest, then this can be one. The atmosphere is calm, quiet and soothing. But if you are looking out for activities, this is definitely not the place. There is no swimming pool. Even the beach is not so welcome as the sea dumps back the garbage onto the shore - quite peculiar of Mumbai beaches.
Stay is good but a bit expensive for the price you pay. A cottage costed us about Rs. 4000 for two on a weekend. This excluded the food. Same with the meals - good but expensive. We averaged Rs. 2500/- per person.
The room service is a bit lethargic - mainly due to the fact that the rooms are placed away from the Canteen.
We can get at least a 4-star accommodation at that price, but one needs to decide - whether to opt for the serene atmosphere of Manori Village or the elegance and luxury of 4-Star Hotels.

Room Tip: Get the Sea facing rooms - these are bang opposite the sea and the Canteen is also near.
