I went to this restobar in Andheri (W) and fell in love with everything from the young buzzing ambience to the good service and amazing food. The choice of choosing between being laid back and being all pumped it is what'sbest about this place. The music is neither too loud nor too soft and is the perfect companion for a great conversation. Perfect place for some drinks, good food and great conversation

Visit to this restaurant was partly on friend's recommendation, & partly nostalgia; having worked at a place nearby, long years back. What use to be a nondescript restaurant, with a colonial hangover; has suddenly been hailed as a discovery by the hip set. As a result the tiny bar downstairs was literally bursting at its seams. The dining portion was upstairs & one had to brave being compressed like sardines, till one earns a place upstairs to dine. The bar was decently stocked, though priced quite highly; but well, that's the case with most of Mumbai restro-bars. The decor was a nice attempt to pay homage to the heritage district, it's located at. The result was a cool place to hang out at, if it had quarter of the people it held that Saturday night. The food was a mix between very nice pizza's to very average pasta's; with the beef burger coming somewhere in between. Going as a part of a largish group enables one to sample a lot of variety. But none of it was truly impressive & displayed the lack of exposure of the management to higher benchmarks in food prep. The pasta was soggy & smothered in white sauce, as in a roadside fast food. One does expect better food from a vintage restaurant, that has the good fortune of being 'rediscovered'. Service was decent & friendly. I hope the management is able to get it's act together & do justice to it's fabulous location. Recommended only for it's location amidst the heritage district of Mumbai.

Staying in Mumbai for six weeks was great & having a little bit of a feel of America helped a lot. The atmosphere was good, with American music, lots of Coldplay (which is great). It is a little small but very cozy. Food was good & having burgers was a taste of back home. During July they have a burger fest. Different types of burgers from the different continents are produced. The staff was very nice & met all our needs, no matter what they were. Each & every member of the staff was nice. My group of 18 people really enjoyed it. We went there multiple times & chose this place as our last meal in Mumbai before we left back to the states. I would suggest this place if you're ever getting homesick of America. Really good place to chill as others have stated.

Woodside Inn, Colaba, is a lively little bar tucked into a corner of one of the old buildings off the Regal circle. In recent months they have begun to keep a couple of nice beers on tap from a local micro-brewery. This is a cosy place in the evening: the kind where you might want to go to for an after dinner drink with a group of friends.

When you go from the bar on the ground floor to the restaurant above, your experience can change. It is a small place, with about 8 tables, so there might be a little bit of a wait. The look is quite pleasant during the day. The trouble is the food. Between the completely bland mashed potatoes accompanying the overdone fish and the spicy oil on which the overdone roasted lamb floats belly up, it is clearly struggling to find a definition of continental food which would appeal to the very young crowd which clogs the tables. The service is friendly but not effective. The "free wifi" sign is presumably left over from an earlier time.

All in all, stay with the bar. Eat somewhere else.

Loved this little bar tucked into the corner of an old colonial building.

The staff are friendly and prompt and there's a high quality drinks menu to boot.

Prices are a little high but hey, welcome to Mumbai!
