We went to Earth Plate to celebrate Navroz (a day earlier) for the Sunday Buffet. Booked 2 tables since we are a big family (22 people). The buffet spread was huge ! There was a live chaat counter, shwarma, raan, prawn quesadillas, farlafels, dosa and liquid nitrogen ice-cream. The main course, both veg and non veg, had umpteen choices. There were about 6-7 deserts to satisfy everyone's taste buds. Even picky eaters would walk out pleased. The service was excellent, even though we were so many of us, the servers managed to pay personal attention to the repeat drinks and clearing of plates. All in all, we were all stuffed by the end of the meal and look forward to returning for the buffet !

My team and I chose The Earth Plate for a farewell dinner for our boss and did we choose right! The Earth Plate was the perfect place for a nice send off for our boss. The ambiance was perfect, the food was extremely yummy and lived up to its reputation and the service was impeccable. The Earth Plate primarily serves up a wonderful global buffet, which is divided into breads and cold cuts, appetizers, main course and desserts. All the items in each category was absolutely delicious and wonderfully prepared. While, I don't know if my colleagues noticed, but within the buffet, they had a theme running for the Indian food items and it seemed to be bengali. The theme was quite subtle as there were few Indian items on the buffet, such Kosha Mangsho, Kaffir Lime Bhetki and Kheer Kodom. Personally, I thought the theme-within-a-theme was nice touch for the restaurant. As for the global cuisine, the buffet had every thing starting from lebanese (hummus, muhammara), Continental (cold cuts, pizzas, pastas), Asian and Japanese (sushis, noodles) and Indian. The dessert was the best. It had a wide variety of make your own sunday ice cream, wide variety of pastries and indian sweets. Do not forget to try out the Earl Grey Creme Brule, it is to die for!
As I said above, the service was impeccable, we were immediately seated when we had entered and the waiters were extremely attentive, clearing out our plates and changing the cutlery as soon as we were done with a course. In fact, one of the restaurant manager was very helpful, when we told him one of our guests was gluten intolerant, he immediately went ad found out which items were gluten free on the menu and then personally took us around and showed us the items. Needless to say, we were extremely pleased with the service and food and we are definitely planning to come again!
(PS: While, the buffet is anyways worth every penny, we had received a 50% off on our food as we had arrived between the early bird offer at the restaurant)

Firstly i dont know how iv missed ever entering sahara star thus far....looks so mundane from the inside but its just as unique once you step in.
At the earth plate we tried the buffet which is by far the most diverse iv seen, and iv seen a few!
Began with the chicken waffles which are soft-as-sin and divine. Proceeded to the noodles with sweet and sour chicken...pretty ok. What was just great though was their special chaat which was totally unexpected for a hotel restaurant.Loved it! Muhamarra and hummus is a must-try, so is the biryani (loved the masala not the meat) Lamb though a little tough was well flavored.
As a parting shot do try their sauces with icecream....i tried black currant with sour cherry sauce and left wanting more :)

The food was delicious and I got my money's worth (I checked-in during the happy hours, so 50% discount).

The place has magnificent ambiance and offers multi cuisine food with a wide variety of options, and that also includes the desserts.

Service was excellent.
