It's easy to suffer a fresh vegetable deficit in India -- while vegetarian food abounds, restaurants typically serve few greens, and they are often well-simmered.
Not at The Table. Fresh, light salads abound - definitely try the mango and crab, a Mumbai specialty (when it's in season). The duck salad and the squid salad are fresh, filling and perfect. Root soups are superb. There are so many great choices, an assembly of small plates makes for a great meal. Lovely presentation, efficient and friendly service.
It's worth going out of your way, but you may not have to due to its location towards the Taj Hotel from Regal Cinema on the circle. I have eaten at various Michelin-starred restaurants around the world, and The Table is definitely in their ranks.

The table was outstanding from the service to the food to the ambience. We had the buffalo mozzarella salad which was one of freshest I have tasted in Mumbai. The flavours in the vegetable tortillas were amazing. The truffle oil flavours in the red wine risotto was just a burst on the palette. The desserts were delicate and carefully crafted. The popcorn and peanut chikki ice cream was amazing. Thanks chef. I had a great time.

OK - I'll admit it - I'm a foodie! I read about The Table in the SF Gate, the chef is from SF, so I went to check it out. It was as good as the hype - freshly sourced ingredient, innovative preparation. The boneless chicken wings were amazing - small little cubes of tasty chicken! It had been a long day so I grazed on several small plates - each interesting and delicious. The wine list was small, but good offerings from a variety of countries. If you find yourself in Mumbai it is worth the traffic to go there!
