We use this hotel twice a year for nine or so days each trip, and it is our preferred Mumbai base. Staff are all excellent, look after all our needs and there are few occasions when we need to complain. Rooms are pretty good standard, all amenities you need, especially in club rooms, where the lounge service comes into its own. It is not a location for night life buzz, but excellent for meetings

Reading some of the reviews here alarmed me before my trip. However our stay here has been nothing short of pleasant, calm & perfect.
The staff make the place come alive with their courteous service & are ever willing to help. Right from arrival they know how to make you feel special. The size of the hotel means it is not too big and they can keep the service personal. I had left my case with my spectacles on the flight to Mumbai & the reception staff went out of their way to retrieve it for me.
The staff at breakfast attend to you by name which they find on getting your room number.
The quality of breakfast is superb- the variety includes continental, american, Indian, middle eastern.....(did i leave anything out). Freshly squeezed juices, freshly done eggs...., the list is endless.
The rooms are spotless, well maintained -turned out 3 times a day-perfectly.The decor (french meets maharaja) lends an ambience of calm sophistication.
We would definitely return again.

actually i would like to share my experience during my stay at Hilton Airport Mumbai, knowing that the staff was nice during the first 2 days, as my stay purpose to attend a workshop that was held in the hotel conference room.
but what really was unacceptable for the last night in a 5 star hotel, that there was a party held in the same conference room that doesnt have any sound proof nor prepared for clubbing and the DJ was playing loud trans music.
my wakeup call been at 2AM as i had early flight and i was trying to have a sleep from 9pm.
i have contacted the reception desk early evening to understand the issue and they explained that nothing can be done and they will try to ask the DJ to lower a bit the music ! that went with no action, the music kept loud till i left.
with vain, i had terrible hours and coudlnt sleep prior my departure as my room was booming with music vibration; neverthless during my check-out the reception desk floor was totally vibrating under our feet, where the reception guy tried to do his job and asked me about my experience during my stay and he was even shy to ask it knowing the situation.
after few days i wrote to Hilton center and i raised a claim. they appologized as usual and said:
"The resolution offered below is the conclusion of our intervention in this matter. We understood from your complaint, that you experienced an unsatisfactory stay due to a noise issue caused by other guests who were holding a function in the hotel. The hotel may take further actions; we cannot compel them to do so" (the resolution was a 1 night free at Hilton ! )
the irony is you can see more than 6 quality awards on the reception-desk's wall and that same hotel doesnt respect the international standards and norms for a 5 star hotel.
I wish to personally apologise for the noise inconvenience, which regrettably affected your overall experience with us.
Whilst I am happy to note that your workshop and stay experience prior to your last night with us had gone smoothly, I wish to assure you that your feedback has been taken seriously. My team and I continue to uphold the optimal standard of service and care expected of a Hilton hotel.
I understand that the resolution of the complimentary room stay will not make up for the issues that you experienced. We will, however, take necessary corrective actions to ensure that our in-house guest experience remains comfortable.

being located near to International airport does give the advantage to the hotel but it doesn't live up to the reputation of the name it carries. Property is quite old and no efforts have been made to modernize it.

I've had the opportunity to stay at this location twice (both for long stays - 7+ days). As in most hotels, it doesn't get everything right, but they do try hard to fix any problems. In reading through many of the other reviews, I think they highlight many of the same things that I would, so let me just quickly add my personal list of pro's and con's.
-- Great location if you need to be close to the airport. Not bad if you're intending on hanging out in Juhu, Bandra or Andheri West.
-- Beautiful lobby
-- Easy to flag an auto if you don't want to rely on taxis or hotel transportation
-- Great to deal with via email for pricing and making arrangements
-- Honors lounge serves a decent breakfast and nice happy hour appetizers
-- Some of the beds are not so comfortable (I had to ask for my room to be changed)
-- Not very convenient if you're heading to midtown or downtown.
-- Can be a bit pricey all things considered.
A big part of the reason I've stayed twice is because I'm a loyal Hilton customer. Not sure it's the only option for those who aren't tied to a hotel program.
