“The Tank at Banganga”
Reviewed 2 February 2012

The Banganga Tank is a lovely place to visit and also see the many temples that surround it on all four sides. There are two sets of Deep Stambhas or Pillars of Light on the two corners. There is a small dhobi ghat (open air laundry) also nearby which has an unusual way for washing the clothes in old discarded fibre glass bath tubs. The famous Walkeshwar temple is on one of the banks of the tank.

“A large water tank...”
Reviewed 20 January 2012

This tank, perched on the side of the most expensive real estate area of the city, is always full of water from an underground spring. Its usually very quiet here but the musical festival once a year brings it to life again.

“Nice area with some small temples around”
Reviewed 23 December 2011

Banganga Tank is a nice area and - at least when we visited it - quite peacefully. You can walk around and find some small temples but there isn't much more to see or to do.
