Was hunting for a resort for a weekend destress and happened to stumble upon this resort on Cleartrip. Had my doubts about the place but still booked it and I am really glad about the decision.
Reached the place on Saturday and had to wait for 20 mins before I got my room allocated. The biggest drawback for me was that the lobby or reception was full of flies. Upon seeing such a plight of the reception area I had become very wary about how the rooms might turn out to be. Anyways, as I had booked for a Jade Villa I was escorted to my room. It was on the 1st floor and the cleaning of the room had just finished. On entering the room I was quite happy with the way the room looked and felt. Checked the bathroom and bed and found it to be clean. There was no complimentary water in the room so had to order for it and it came as a surprise that we were served with regular water instead of bisleri packed in a bisleri bottle.
We freshened up and then headed to the restaurant for food. The restaurant themed KADAL was already occupied by a group and it had a buffet setting. Checked with the receptionist if the restaurant on the 3rd floor is open and headed there.
When you enter the 3rd floor restaurant the first thing you observe is the swimming pool. The tables and furniture were neatly designed along the poolside. Sat on one of the tables and were listening to the music and enjoying it as they were playing some good latest numbers. Ordered food and drinks and enjoyed for more than 2 hrs alongside the pool.
Evening if you ever decide to go for a walk you might need to take a mosquito coil along because there are a lot of mosquitoes and you will encounter them especially by the poolside restaurant at night. We had food and retired to the room. Ordered for some ice buckets and had a good time in the room listening to music.
All in all the entire trip was a very good experience. The staff is courteous and the location and view especially the poolside is amazing. The only downside and which I strongly feel can be rectified are the flies problem in the reception area during daytime (no flies encountered during evening and night), the complimentary bottles of bisleri in room and the mosquito problem by the poolside.
My 2 cents for the above property is it is definitely a place to visit and stay whether you are visiting with friends or with family or even as a couple. Also, the person who manages the resort came across as a very friendly and lively person.
