“An Excellent Stay Option”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 July 2014

Was hunting for a resort for a weekend destress and happened to stumble upon this resort on Cleartrip. Had my doubts about the place but still booked it and I am really glad about the decision.

Reached the place on Saturday and had to wait for 20 mins before I got my room allocated. The biggest drawback for me was that the lobby or reception was full of flies. Upon seeing such a plight of the reception area I had become very wary about how the rooms might turn out to be. Anyways, as I had booked for a Jade Villa I was escorted to my room. It was on the 1st floor and the cleaning of the room had just finished. On entering the room I was quite happy with the way the room looked and felt. Checked the bathroom and bed and found it to be clean. There was no complimentary water in the room so had to order for it and it came as a surprise that we were served with regular water instead of bisleri packed in a bisleri bottle.

We freshened up and then headed to the restaurant for food. The restaurant themed KADAL was already occupied by a group and it had a buffet setting. Checked with the receptionist if the restaurant on the 3rd floor is open and headed there.

When you enter the 3rd floor restaurant the first thing you observe is the swimming pool. The tables and furniture were neatly designed along the poolside. Sat on one of the tables and were listening to the music and enjoying it as they were playing some good latest numbers. Ordered food and drinks and enjoyed for more than 2 hrs alongside the pool.

Evening if you ever decide to go for a walk you might need to take a mosquito coil along because there are a lot of mosquitoes and you will encounter them especially by the poolside restaurant at night. We had food and retired to the room. Ordered for some ice buckets and had a good time in the room listening to music.

All in all the entire trip was a very good experience. The staff is courteous and the location and view especially the poolside is amazing. The only downside and which I strongly feel can be rectified are the flies problem in the reception area during daytime (no flies encountered during evening and night), the complimentary bottles of bisleri in room and the mosquito problem by the poolside.

My 2 cents for the above property is it is definitely a place to visit and stay whether you are visiting with friends or with family or even as a couple. Also, the person who manages the resort came across as a very friendly and lively person.

5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 March 2014

Hi,

My Management team from Mumbai visited Silverador on 7th and 8th March 2014.

During our planning phase, we were skeptical about this place and the entire team was reluctant and did not believe in the pictures that were uploaded on the website.

Once we reached the pool side area, entire team was amazed with the beauty and serenity of this place. The pool side seating arrangement was ideal place to relax and set our spirits free...we sang, we danced the night out. Very comfy and neatly designed furniture. This place was extremely relaxing and we just didn't feel like moving back to the rooms.

The Dinner, Breakfast and Lunch was very good and unexpectedly came with lots of variety. The chicken gravy was finger lickin good. Although the set up or the food area requires a better arrangement, but the food menu was just too good. The entire team relished the food that had an east indian style flavor to it... !!! Yummmmmmmmy :-)

The Panoramic swimming pool is definitely the highlight of this place...It has an awesome view and we were stunned with the way it was maintained... Great Job on maintaining the pool.

Finally, I would like to thank Megha, who we found to be one of the Best host and a caring Manager for any other resorts or hotels that we have visited. Thanks a ton for all the help and care !!!

I am definitely recommending Silverador to my Friends and Colleagues ..... It's a chilled out place :-)

Room Tip: The Emarald rooms facing the mountains are a neat.

2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 September 2013

I went to Silverador Resort Club along with my partner on 21st September 2013, and stayed in the Villa #303. I chose Utan over getaways like Matheran/nashik/Lonavla as I had read good reviews about Utan and the resort in general. specially this article (which looked like an independent review and not a sponsored article to me)
http://www.afternoondc.in/48-hrs/sweet-escape/article_73333

This turned out to be a very bad decision due to the following reasons
a. Utan, to me, would not qualify as a getaway destination. There's nothing to see/enjoy their at all. no beaches, no mountains, no greenery. Its actually a well-within the ever-expanding city of Mumbai
b. Silverador by no means qualifies as a resort. It could be a motel/lodge at best. The "infinity pool" and the "titanium longe" that people are talking about in this forum are very very average
c. The staff is courteous and well-,mannered, but there's a long way to go for them, before they understand the 'H' in Hospitality. During my check-in, the reception staff got confused if I had a booking at all. After showing them my online payment receipt, it took them some good 15 minutes to locate the Villa allotted to me
d. The so called "Villa" is nothing but a 12ftX12ft room, with a queen size bed, a TV, no minibar, no cloth hanger. They dont provide you a large double bed blanket, but two single bed blankets!! The bath tub in the bathroom which was highlighted a lot during booking (I got my booking done through Niva Link) in a pretty shabby and small bathtub.
e. The intercom in the room wasnt working, the hand shower had gone bad, there was no drinking water or hand soap in the room and it came only after 5-6 repeated requests
f. The food in the restaurant 'Kadal' was pretty good, but the left much to be desired in terms of ambiance, the music, cleanliness and overall dining experience
g. the tariff for this resort is pretty much comparable to other options in Lonavla/Nashik etc

I had went to Nashik just two weeks back and stayed at Beyon resort, and Lonavla few months back where I stayed at Orchard. I was expecting comparable services here as well, which was a big mistake

In a nutshell, I will advice you folks to avoid Utan altogether and look for better options like Nashik/Matheran?khandala/Lonavla

Room Tip: Avoid the Villas

There are times when you just want to get lost at the same time too lazy to travel, Silverador is the answer. Value for money, the staff is good. The infinity pool is awesome. They allow to play your own playlist... I have been here at least 5 times in the last 7 months, never got bored of it...

Room Tip: go for the villa.

We 3 families booked 3 villa rooms for a birthday occasion on a weekend. To be honest rooms are good and the rooftop swimming pool is a good attraction but the food is one area where they need to tremendously improve. We had late lunch around 3.30pm in the restaurant, due to which the only menu available was chineese..we were the only guest in the entire restaurant.
After coming back home we all suffered food poisining, special the 3 and 4yr old children were affected bad with vomit and loose motion as also the elders. I called the hotel to inform and to my shock the response from the reception girl was" Mam I think this has happened because you all ate late around 4.30 so its your fault and not the hotel and that has not gone well with your system".
Now all hell broke loose and i had really teach her about how my body system works as for past 32 years i havnt eaten at dot lunch hour besides the hotel staff needs to be sympathetic and apologise as thats how the hospitality industry survives after such incidents.
Even after writing to them they have not reverted or called back..the worst attitude of a hotel staff i ever experienced.

Amazing Resort with compact and luxurious villas. Roof top swimming pool is the centre of attraction of this resort. Also the staff and management r very friendly and professional. Had a great time..... Thanks

Room Tip: First two villas have good view of the Arabian sea
