Description: Pizza By The Bay has been an iconic brand in Mumbai's pizza dining history. The space that first opened as Talk of the Town in 1968 has been transformed into a bright, casual, all-day dining destination. This place is not only famous for it's mouth-watering pizzas but also the salad buffet which has been a super-hit amongst the patrons for several years. The introduction of breakfast has made it Churchgate's stand-out morning destination. Open from 7 am to 1.30 Am.

I visited Pizza by The Bay after like 4 years a couple of months back. Last time when I visited, it was Jazz by the Bay. I had thoroughly enjoyed that time. So was hoping for the same fun in this new avatar.

Being a Saturday evening, we had to wait for a good 20 minutes before we got a chance. We decided to sit indoors in the AC to beat the Mumbai heat and pollution. For people who like to be closer to nature, there is a provision to sit outside. The area is covered though.

Deciding to have an all pizza dinner, we ordered one via veggie and one pepperoni. Now there are enough and more choices to choose from on the menu. Some of the pizzas are named innovatively too. There was one which went by the name Don Corleone.

The pizzas looked great when they arrived. Via veggie was done very well and a big thumbs up from me. The pepperoni was half decent. Not awesome but OK. I am sure there were better pizzas on other tables.

The service was quick and servers were polite and caring. Ratings:

Ambiance 4/5
Food 4/5
Service 4/5
Vfm 3.5/5

Could be visited solo, with friends or family, or a business conversation or even a romantic interlude. Its on an elbow-shaped corner facing the busy streets and the calm or at times a monsoonal wavy sea. What's special is that they have been serving their own styles of pizzas since ages unknown that could be improvised upon by your taste.
The décor bespokes its own character whereupon you'll see prints of masters like Gogh!
The beautiful sunsets are the time you must visit, to get a complete experience of the place.
The only thing is that its a small place and so gets crowded very soon.
The blinds are there, yet the restaurant portrays the ambience of a European café.
The whole area and the restaurant maintains what could be termed as an old world charm of
Bombay.

Earlier known as "jazz by the bay", then went on to "not just jazz by the bay", and finally now "pizza by the bay". Me thinks it should be "All things nice by the bay" :)

The location is simply gorgeous. Overlooking the Arabian Sea, on a busy pedestrian street, next to a famous stadium, and vibrant at all times.

I always prefer sitting by the windows watching the world go by. Their Italian dishes are fantastic. It's a pricey restaurant, but the location, quality, crowd and service justifies it all.

The pizzas are excellent, but I like the pastas out here. Very filling and tops!

Pizza by the bay, formerly known by not just jazz by the bay is this beautiful place opposite marine drive. The buffet is served inside the restaurant though.

The spread is soup, salads, sandwiches and desserts. The salads and the desserts are the stars. A nice spread across vegetarian and non vegetarian. My personal favs were the grilled vegetable salad, noodles salad, hummus and pita bread and pasta salad. Sandwiches try the spinach and mushroom and the paneer oriental avoid the BLT special in vegetarian.

Now the best part, desserts they have a fantastic spread of desserts from pastries to baked yoghurt to fruit salad to different mousse cups and tea cakes.

On weekends try getting there by 1 coz it gets crowded afterwards.
