Very interesting to observe the worshippers. A feeling of peace and calm in a very busy and noisy city.

The temple is a must to be visited by a first time visitor to Mumbai. The best time is in the morning wherein the visitor will also be able to witness certain morning rituals. The temple is one of the oldest Jain temples in Mumbai. Do not miss the stories depicted by wall paintings on the first floor.

This is a famous temple that is also called Babu Amichand Panalal Adishwarji on Malabar hill in Mumbai, India. This unique old temple was built in 1904 and houses the beautiful Statue of Jain God Adinath Bhagwan. The temple itself is very beautiful with large elephant carvings. Taking photos of the interior are not allowed although you can take as much photos as you want of the exterior. If you do not belong to the Jain group of people then you are not allowed inside the temple, but you have to take your shoes off to be allowed to walk around. This temple looks great and even though I was not allowed inside, I will recommend it to anyone.

I often visit Manas Mandir in Shahpur, which is 60 Kms driving distance Thane. It is located in Mumbai Nasik Highway and is approx 20 KM from Express Highway toll plaza. Location is very pleasant and Statue of Jain God Adinath Bhagwan is very beautyfull. Visiting this place give me peace of mind. If you are from Jain comminity then Stay arrangement is available at very nominal rates. Also one can enjoy the Pure Jain food here (No Onion/Garlic/roots)

This Jain Temple is very ornate and there is a board listing the "Do's and Don't" for Visitors.

It's very ornate with large elephant carvings. Photos are allowed of the exterior only and one must remove shoes before looking inside.

The Jain people do not eat onions or garlic so special food is normally prepared for them when visiting large hotels such as Holiday Inn, Goa.

Respect their right to prayers and peace.
