“Flea market of Mumbai”
Reviewed 13 August 2014

If visiting Mumbai, Colaba Causeway cannot be missed. It is one of the best shopping streets in Mumbai where you get great bargains and amazing things you wouldn't find anywhere else. It is a chaotic and bustling street so you need to have the patience and eye for detail. The footpath of Colaba Causeway is lined with stalls selling colorful imitation jewelry and accessories, footwear, antiques like old telephones, show pieces, handicrafts, Indian mythological print cushion covers, bed-sheets, stoles, wrap around skirts. If you have a knack for haggling you can get something at half its quoted price! There are some famous restaurants, cafes and pubs as well where you can end your day by having a drink and some amazing food and relaxing your tired feet after extensive walking, shopping and bargaining. Must try cafe- is Cafe Leopold and Cafe Mondegar where you get amazing food and drinks. Colaba Causeway, a place close to every shoppers heart.

for those who have read the book, this would bring back memories of many 100's of pages of the book.

such a nice walk at morning and evening with different restaurants, street side markets and different points of ambience wherever you walk.

a trip to mumbai is not complete without a complete walk of the Causeway

“Must Go. ”
Reviewed 24 July 2014 via mobile

This is place where everyone MUST go for shopping if you're ever in Mumbai. All the shops on the street you can start bargaining by as much as reducing the price by half or even more. There are some amazing things. But you need to look properly. Just a overlook will not suffice here. And also you need to kind of be sure of your sizes incase you're buying clothes. But otherwise you'll get 99% things you want from here only.

The buildings on this street are old and majority of them are historical. The walk would be chaotic, but its worth the while, with a great many stalls and antique stores. Keep your wallet secure and safe! There are famous cafes and restaurants on this street including a couple of iconic ones. I have reviewed a couple separately. Enjoy the bustling crowd.

“Chaotic shopping street”
Reviewed 22 June 2014

Curious corner of the city, without a doubt one of the few places in Mumbai where you can expect some tourists, it is rare here!
Here you can stroll along the Causeway and among the historic buildings colonial intrigued by the many stalls where you can find all kinds of items or souvenirs.
Traffic and chaos are typical ingredients of this dynamic city.
Place very impressive but absolutely not to be missed.
