“Truly first class!”
Reviewed 28 November 2012

This was our fifth stay at the Trident and it never disappoints. We always stay at the end of an Indian holiday and the comfort, cleanliness and welcome never vary. Very professionally run, with excellent, attentive staff. They even keep a record of your newspaper of choice from your last visit !
Breakfast selection beyond belief, with the restaurants and room service second to none. This is not the cheapest place in town, but you get what you pay for - and it's worth every last rupee. A truly magnificent hotel - with the best beds anywhere !

Room Tip: The higher up the better if you're overlooking the sea. Wherever you are the amenities are the...

We were visiting Mumbai with two other couples and looking for a central hotel. From the moment we walked into the Trident we were well looked after. The rooms were spacious and clean and the staff attended to all our needs. We would certainly stay here again. It is also extremely suitable for the business travel as well. I would agree with others comments that it is suprising there is no where to watch the sun go down with a cocktail in hand.

Stayed at Trident for 3 weeks last August during my maiden trip to India. It was worth every penny I paid for! The service provided both at rooms and at the restaurant were very good, above my expectations. The gym and spa facilities were very good as well! The only problem I had was the payment of the stay. Upon receving my credit card statement at the end of Aug, I had noticed that the hotel had billed me for a sum which I had signed my card for. I had to waste time to write in to the credit card company to dispute it and thankfully my credit card is fair, my claim was successful! Other than that, my stay was awesome! Staff were very friendly and approachable! And there was free wifi!

Room Tip: Most rooms have seaviews, but there are a couple seaview types; 1.facing the arabian sea and 2. faci...

Great Hotel, good food good staff, enjoyed the whole experience to watch the cricket, cannot fault the hotel really, however bar prices are steep!
Good location to travel around Mumbai as well, and good location on sea front, so a nice breeze outside,.
Drive from airport up to an hour, due to traffic, but interesting journey anyway.
Once you chill out Mumbai is cool
Airport was all straight forward as well.

Room Tip: Higher the better

Beautiful hotel at a great location for safely walking to restaurants or along the waterfront. The rooms are modern and the pool area facilities excellent. The buffet breakfast is very good. Gaylord restaurant on nearby Veer Nariman Rd has a great little bakery where we enjoyed cheap lunches with masala tea on their patio. We are glad our tour company selected this property for our group and we would gladly stay here again.

Stayed at the Trident for Diwali. Overall good experience, very well kept rooms, extremely courteous service, excellent breakfasts. The only downsides were that there was absolutely nowhere in the hotel to watch the Diwali fireworks, the bars all being hidden underground, the top floor only for function rooms and the pool closing at 8. So we went down the street to the Dome bar at the Intercontinental (fantastic view, setting and design) and enjoyed from there. The Trident team are completely missing a trick not to design a bar to compete with this and with the new bar at the Four Seasons that Mumbaikers all seemed to be raving about!

Room Tip: Sea facing premier rooms are a high standard

The hotel is in a great location and is of very high standard. The service was excellent from the moment we checked in to the moment we checked out. Breakfast was included and was very good. The pool area was clean and well looked after, as were the roof gardens. Some may complain about the price of drinks in the bars, and whilst they are a little pricey compared to other bars in the area, it is a five star hotel, so it should be expected!

Room Tip: lower floors are nearer to the spa and pool, the front of the hotel has the best sea views
