“A business hotel rather than a tourist hotel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 February 2014

We had a very comfortable room which we were extremely grateful for after touring around India for nearly six weeks. The views over the bay are fantastic and it is worth upgrading your room to make sure you face the sea. Breakfast at the Frangipani restaurant was very good indeed - there is a particularly wide range of fresh fruit as well as the usual range of international dishes. However, we did feel that we were staying in a business hotel rather than a tourist hotel, and that the atmosphere and the prices in the bar and restaurants reflected this. A modest glass of wine was an eyewatering £12.00! This meant we tended not to stay around the hotel itself but there are plenty of other places to go to. Having said that, the swimming pool and terrace is very attractive.

Room Tip: If you can, do upgrade to a room facing the bay.

We stayed here from 4th to the 10th of February and we were sorry we had to leave. We had booked an executive room and were upgraded to a fabulous suite. From the moment we arrived we felt special and this is something that big hotels rarely achieve. We had great views over the Arabian Sea, the executive lounge was lovely with extremely friendly and efficient staff. Frangipani restaurant was a nice treat as was the bar. For us the spa was the best one we have experienced. Lots of hotels have you traipsing from one room to another for treatments but when we arrived for our couples massage and rose petal bath everything was in the one room. This made a massive difference to our experience and we cannot recommend it enough. India could certainly teach us a thing or two about customer service everyone we encountered was so unbelievably friendly from the drivers to the waiting staff to the cleaning staff. I hope to return one day and I would not consider staying in any other hotel.

This hotel has everything: immaculate and friendly service, stylish and well designed rooms overlooking the Arabian Sea, beautiful swimming pool and excellent fitness room.
The Frangipani restaurant does cosmopolitan food at good prices for this kind of hotel.
There is easy access to the main tourist point - the Gateway to India,- but equally easy access to the Oval Maidan, where impromptu cricket matches take place simultaneously on a vast tree lined green space surrounded by colonial architecture.
The city itself has a very modern outlook. English is spoken and written everywhere.
Try a guided tour to Mumbai at dawn. You will never forget it.

Excellent location overlooking the sea..an oasis in teeming Mumbai. Fantastic breakfast and had a lovely meal at India Jones. The pool area is superb with fantastic views and a welcome breeze.

Good Location and very good choice to eat in the Hotel. Trident is connected with the Oberoi Hotel. Some of the rooms should be renovated cuze some of them are a bit tired.
Had dinner at the Ziya Restaurant at the Operoi Hotel.. 3 min walk (inside the Hotel) Excellent and fine Indian cusine.

Room Tip: book a room with a view to the arabian see / uper floor and Cornerroom

I stayed at Trident Nariman point from Feb 4 to Feb 6. Unlike most hotels in Mumbai Trident Nariman Point has exceptionally large rooms. My Room was a standard/ deluxe room with a comfortable king sized bed and beautiful view of the arabian sea. The breakfast is wide but not overwhelmingly big. Restuatants are also good. The location is however, the best asset of this hotel. Close to the sea and close to every possible building of business importance, in South Mumbai. I also found the staff to be very polite and friendly. Very safe for women travelors as well.

Room Tip: Try to get a room facing the arabian sea. Its worth it!

The hotel is beautiful and very we'll maintained. The rooms come with 2 complimentary bottles of water and all of the usual freebies. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The only things missing from the rooms are drawers for putting away clothes and an ability to hang clothing to dry. Otherwise it is a great hotel to stay at.
