Many people appear to go to Churchgate Station to see the architecture and the history that reside there however, I went purely to see the famous Lunchbox or Dabba-Wallah men. My taxi driver actually recommended it and I am glad he took me. It was really neat to see the men carrying the trays of lunchboxes on their heads coming out with the steady stream of passengers. All the lunchboxes are uniquely labelled as most of the delivery men are illiterate. So while the building is neat, go around 11/11:30 and see the lunchbox men.

Churchgate Railway station is iconic and heritage building of Mumbai along with Fort, GPO, central library and Mumbai CST (VT) station building. Large station complex with continuous flow of passengers rushing in or out of station like pre programmed robots. Many of the commercial places like Asiatic are there for many decades now and one must plan a short trip to Asiatic as well. Within station, one can have famous Mumbai vegetarian Sadwhices.

Being in Mumbai this is without doubt the most beautiful railway station of the city, a hub fantastic and very convenient for people like me who wanted to reach the city center.
This terminal is in fact the main point of reference to visit Colaba.
The exterior of the station is a magnificent building in colonial style, as well as several buildings in the neighborhood with a mold almost British-colonial era.
From this hub start at repeated trains that reach every corner of the city, literally invaded by people and the chaos is almost the norm here. From here, walk about 20 minutes to reach the Gateway of India.
