this hotel has a great location and is clean and hygienic. other than that, do not have any expectations. the staff is friendly and the rooms are small and cosy. the bathrooms are clean and tiny. the prices are expensive but in this same price you wont get anything better in a place like mumbai
I stayed here for a couple of days. It's located in one of the most posh areas of Mumbai, Kemps Corner. I stayed in a single accommodation. They charged me Rs 3400 for that room which is a tad steep but then given the location of the property and the proximity to Peddar Road, Breach Candy, Napean Sea road and also the accessibility to all the places in South Mumbai makes it more than worth the money.
The room was pretty average, but the location was good and what really stood out was that everyone at the hotel was extremely service-oriented and very helpful in all ways, from registration to room service to helping with luggage and offering to get taxis for me.
The only problem was that breakfast was not that varied. The only fruit was bananas.
While this is not a fancy hotel by any means - and not the kind I like staying in - it is one of the best options available at that price in that part of Mumbai and it would be unreasonable to expect much more. The rooms are relatively spacious, and the bathrooms are in better shape than some other places around. The upholstery (curtains etc.) looks dated and could use a refresh. There was a bit of dampness on the walls. Also, I found that some rooms were in much better condition than others - so it's probably a good idea to look at a few before settling in. Breakfast was basic.
One thing I really liked was the promptness of the staff in responding to any request, and also their attitude in general. For me, that made up for most of the shortcomings of the property itself.
I will not call this hotel 'value for money', neither will count it in luxury hotels (of-course it is not), but it's a above average hotel for the money I paid (if I do compare other hotels in same area). Hotel was clean, service was quick. Rooms were in medium size, little old. Bathroom was just OK. I got a very little hot water from old geyser, but as weather was warm, it does not create any problem for me. A/C was working without any noise. Choupaty nearby this hotel is useless, however it's close to malabar hill and one end of marine drive. Transport is not a problem as you can get 'city taxi' very easily just outside of this hotel. Breakfast provided by hotel was yummy (We had Poha, bread-sandwich, egg, milk etc)
Pros: A decent hotel for a day/night stay, transportation, quick service
Cons: Bathroom was just OK, There was nothing exceptional.
Verdict : It's not for luxury stay. If you are looking just for a decent and safe stay, you can choose it.
