The Hotel is as you would expect for 4 Seasons, immaculately clean with the best and most helpful staff. The concierge were particularly helpful and very knowledgeable of local restaurants and local sights. The only thing to note is the area is a little down market after dark but this is Mumbai so don’t be too surprised, every corner in the City is a new surprise – strongly recommend this Hotel

when you stay at a four seasons you know exactly what you have signed up for...personalized service, great food and impeccable rooms. the four seasons mumbai is all of that and beyond. the only downside of this property is the view. it is by far the best hotel in mumbai for my money.

The Four Seasons Mumbai is a luxurious hotel that seems more like a resort than an urban hotel. While located central to the business district, close to the airport and on a busy road, once you enter the gates to the hotel, you really feel transported to a calming oasis. The rooms are spacious and immaculate with all the amenities you need away from home including lots of bottled water. As others have mentioned, there are views of a slum from most windows but this is Mumbai and you quickly understand that everything fits together is this evolving city. Everywhere you go, old and new, rich and poor blends and it seems to accepted by mostly everyone. Whether you are there on business or a vacation, you must visit the spa which is relaxing and has first rate services. The full service gym is available for your use 24 hours and there is a daily yoga class at 7:00am which is a great way to start the day. Breakfast is served in a beautiful room on the lobby level. There is a buffet as well as a full menu which is varied and has traditional American choices as well as traditional Indian dishes. All of which were delicious especially the breads and pastries. The restaurant on site, San-Qi, is beautiful and amazing with Indian, Thai, Japanese and Chinese menu options. You must go to the roof top bar, Aer, for drinks and magnificent views of the city. There is a mosque located close by and depending on where you are in the hotel you might hear the morning and evening prayers. The first time I heard them was while at the pool area and honestly, it really did add to the ambience of the city. I couldn't hear them from my room and faintly while in Yoga class but again, it really was soothing. Lastly and the real reason this hotel is amazing is because of the service. Everyone is there to ensure that your stay is most memorable. The concierge desk is up to date on everything Mumbai. Apekska arranged an amazing tour of the city and made recommendations for wonderful diners. The Four Seasons hotel is one I would return to again and again when in Mumbai.

Pluses:
- Staff attitude and presentation: they all look smart, know how to talk without seeming inquisitive, they are genuinely helpful and well organized.
- The BMW serie 7 airport pick-up, and the whole check-in process all the way through your room, royal treatment.
- Superb room of course with romantic bathtub.
- Sauna, Jacuzzi where you can lay down and relax like in a couch, and steam room.
- The San Qui buffet (not every day, but we took it for New Year): great setting, huge variety of freshly made food, and keep much space for all the deserts!
Some minuses (forgivable in the context of the otherwise excellency):
- The location: seaview does not mean too much as there is a big slum between the hotel and the sea. Nothing to walk outside.
- Swimming pool is cold during the winter, I would have expected to have at least the Jacuzzi in the pool being heated. There is a heated Jacuzzi indoor, but it is sad to have a beautiful pool and not being able to go inside, and not be able to enjoy the “chilled towels”.
- The rooftop bar was closed during the New Year Eve (for private function), and although the San Qui buffet was excellent, there was no atmosphere at all on Midnight. The hotel should have arranged a pool party for its guests.

Room Tip: Seaview does not mean much, maybe not worth the extra expense, as in any case view is depressing.

the four seasons is a genuinely excellent hotel, perfectly located between the traditional tourist spots of south mumbai, the emerging business district of BKC, and fashionable Bandra.
service is particularly smooth and professional, exuding an unfussy competence - not something you see too often even in the top 5 star chains in india.
rooms aren't huge (although views are generally excellent - particularly the south facing rooms), and the ground floor cafeteria restaurant isn't too sophisticated, but with the best roof bar in mumbai (aer) and one of the best asian restaurants in town (san qi), both of which come alive in the evening, the four seasons is one of the only 'destination' venues in its own right in mumbai.
for a regular visitor, the four seasons is a natural choice for anybody who needs to venture beyond south mumbai.
