“Not upto the mark”
Reviewed 23 July 2014

This is one of the oldest restaurants in Matunga and I visited this with my son in the hopes of a nice lunch but was very disappointed. The menu had only bisibele bhath which was actually pongal and they had added some vegetables to it. It was disgusting in taste but since we were hungry we had no other option but to have it. Tiffin items are good but better to avoid taking lunch here.

“cheese masala dose at Cafe Mysore”
Reviewed 4 July 2014

Hot crispy dosa filled with soft savouried cheese was unique and tasty. Drumstick sambhar and coconut chutney complimented it very well.

“Nice south indian food!”
Reviewed 1 June 2014

We love south indian food. We have tried few joints in Matunga and have stopped at Mysore as well as it was referred by our friends. We went there with family. We sat on the AC floor upstairs which is quite small and can get claustrophobic for some people. the seats were quite congested also. Nevertheless, i do expect these places to be quite simple for the price they offer so i don't fuss about it. Food was very nice and we tried different dishes that were listed on the specialties. All very nice. The best had to be the Mysore Masala dosa! too good! What i found to be excellent was the service - the waiter never forgot the order and when we added one more dosa of the same order he confirmed that we had ordered one of the same before and the key waiter also updated the one who was bringing the food to the table about the change. I was amazed by the follow up as you don't expect such places to be too attentive to you. Definitely will go there again :)

“Good food, but the environment can be better.”
Reviewed 24 May 2014

The place offers good food, almost heritage. They really need to upgrade their interiors, which would add appeal to its offerings.

“Decent food, decent price”
Reviewed 19 April 2014 via mobile

Cafe Mysore is a typical South Indian joint housed at king circle. Prices are reasonable and food is decent. However they need to improve on hygiene and kitchen - not a good sight of sweaty cook handling food. Also not very sure on how they treat and wash used plates. Seating is congested and restaurant is usually full. Key highlight is it opens early so reasonable crowd for breakfast, especially weekends. Overall reasonable at that price point.
