“If you dare!”
Reviewed 16 May 2014 via mobile

We went here as it was recommended in the Lonely Planet and close to the Central Museum. The staff were very friendly but the hygiene was awful. It was 40+ degrees so instead of the rooftop, we were on one of the small tables by the kitchen. The food was not great. We ordered two different meals, but when they arrived they were clearly the same but one had potato in and one cauliflower. Good location but I wouldn't recommend it unless you what to chance your luck!

“nice experience”
Reviewed 7 February 2014

first impact with the place is quite badly impressing, in fact since it was quite hot in Jaipur the ropen part of the oof was not used by the customers so that lots of pigeons were gathering there.
but you know, you're in India anyway, you just have to forget western standards, it's part of the experience.
the place itself makes tasty and fresh dishes and you can see the cook cooking them in front of you.obviously there's a menu for indians and one for foreigners, but you will still have a very good meal for a cheap price.
definetely a very good place to go in Jaipur!

The food here is absolutely delicious. Best cheese naan you'll eat. Order the Ganesh Special. Great rooftop spot.

“As advertised ...”
Reviewed 13 December 2013

The Ganesh Restaurant - actually just some tables on an open roof next to a covered kitchen on the old city walls - is recommended in the Lonely Planet guide to Jaipur. The food was tasty and the service prompt and friendly - price 500 rupees for dinner for two. Hygiene was questionable but I didn't expect much else. It's recommended for the food and the view of the Nehru Bazaar below - pretty noisy and chaotic, but you're above it all. Recommended - but take your own cutlery.

“Cool kitchen and location”
Reviewed 12 December 2013 via mobile

An example of when a place hits lonely planet guide book all the prices go up. The place was neat and had a cool location but no real view from atop the wall. Also 12.5% tax that's not mentioned. Not such a gem as talked about. The staff was friendly and the food was basic and good.
