I spend one short night in Satkar hotel, the manager was nice, but my room was very very dirty, pee on the toilet, smelt pee and poo in my bathroom, many hairs on the floor in my bathroom. I was not confortable, and one guy was too tactile and disrespectful. So don't go there if you are a woman alone.

After reviewing numerous reviews on trip advisor prior to booking, I felt rather comfortable booking a room at Hotel Satkar. As a backpacker and seasoned traveller I felt that I could handle the "budget vibe" and amenities. Unfortunately what I encountered was much worse than just a few ripped bedsheets…
I travelled with a group of 4, and when we arrived after a long train journey we were seated in the lobby for about 30 mins as the manager dealt with our documentation. Let me just say, the manager (the younger of the two guys running the place) was friendly enough, he obviously cared a lot about his reviews on trip advisor and hostel world and so he did his best to keep us happy, which was appreciated. We ran into some difficulties right off the bat with a reservation that had been changed, and the room was not ready. The manager tried to remedy the situation but ended up being very difficult to deal with for no apparent reason. One member of our group also had to deal with some unwanted advances from this guy, which made her quite uncomfortable.

The room was clean enough for a budget hotel- don't expect spotless floors or clean bedsheets. The blanket we were given had clearly not been washed in quite some time, but whatever. the room had no hot water, towels, or any other amenities, it was just beds in a room. But we were only sleeping in it so it sufficed.

Over the course of our stay we ran into more issues with the manager about the rooms, the price, and everything in between, we couldn't understand why everything had to be so difficult and it caused a lot of stress. On our last day when we were checking out I went upstairs to use the wifi for 2 mins. The older guy (managers partner) called up to his employees and told them to shut the internet off the only reason being so that I couldn't use it to send one message home. It was very rude and hostile, and he stared us down as we left the hotel. Not a pleasant way to end the stay.
Overall, all of these small incidents would not mean much on their own, but put together they created a very hostile environment to stay in, and lots of stress. I would say find another budget hotel if you want to be treated decently, otherwise endure the discomfort.

This place is very nice to stay, close to the railway station. The owners are the best and will help you with all your questions. We would definitely recommend this place! We were there during Holi festival, there is a place in the neighbourhood where you can celebrate.

Gud budget hotel. homely enviroment. Good nature and very co-operative both father and son. Rooms are not hi-fi but was good. One can easily stay over there peacefully and without any disturbance. A slight modifications can move the hotel to another segment. Overall the experience was good and we enjoyed a lot in the hotel and in Jaipur

The duo father and son who run the hotel are having very big hearts. They are really nice humans but mere hospitility and huminity is not enough, the condtion of rooms and services really matters and both were poor, TV is for display, gyser are for demonestration and rooms are very dirty for dustbin you will get buckets for astray ??????????. I had booked two rooms from booking.com and it was really a terrible experience they are cheaters the mail send to me displayed 1100 and one send to them showed 1350 it was really shocking i must mention it is not fault of satkar but booking.com. One more thing in the range of 800 to 1000 i will get very comfortable rooms such rooms costs 2000 t0 2500 in delhi.
