I have never been anywhere quite like this before! As you approach the hotel, you think you are coming to a top-secret nuclear compound or a 5-star open prison for Wall Street financiers down on their luck. You are surrounded by barren mountains with no possibility of escape - beautiful but also a little creepy as another reviewer suggested. Even stranger was the fact that we were one of only two guests at the hotel! It made for a very quiet dinner! The rooms are enormous and the bathrooms the best I have ever seen in any hotel - pure luxury. Wifi was complementary and fast, the TV worked well and my father had a great massage at the spa (pricey though by Indian standards). They do have a massive pigeon problem because of the way the hotel is designed which does somewhat spoil sitting out on the terrace. Not sure I would stay here again - too cold and over-designed but glad I experienced it.

It's set in the middle of mountains. The location of this place defines this place. It's a beauty. so serene, you can hear your every breath. I have been there many times with my friends, took a couple of my friends from Mumbai also and they absolutely loved it. the quality and the service is good and prompt. ambience is crazy. we had a very good staff member Mr. Gobind Singh to look after our needs everytime we went there. I'd say its a must visit place if you are visiting the pink city. *Thumbs up*

Room Tip: use google maps. its hard to find this place because its based in the middle of the mountains.

After so many recommendations to stay at the Rambagh Palace, I wish I had listened! My husband and I travelled the Golden Triangle and Jaipur was our last stop. We stayed here for 3 nights. We usually go by the Wallpaper guides, and I found this one in the back of the Delhi city guide. Unfortunately, it seems to have recently changed owners. Honestly, we were creeped out upon our arrival. It seemed we were the only guests in the hotel and it was basically in a field near a very small village in the middle of nowhere. It ended up taking about 20-30 minutes to drive into Jaipur each day.

Not only this, it seemed there were no cheap accommodations for our driver. We forced extra money on him to stay in the local guest house. The staff was not very welcoming on arrival and it seemed the night manager spoke almost no English. He was rude to our driver.

We ate breakfast, but only toast and tea. We were honestly concerned about the food quality since there were so few guests staying. We cancelled dinner reservations we'd made previously.

The room was ok. It was clean and quiet. The bathroom was very modern. The walkways were covered with pigeons and their feces which was annoying and added to the creepiness at night. We did have a nice patio and ended up enjoying time out there, just talking, listening to music, and watching the sun go down. Bring your own alcohol! That is the only thing that really saved this stay for us. We ended up going into Jaipur to the Rambagh for dinner every night anyway so for the money, should have just stayed there.

Room Tip: Get a ground floor with a patio facing west.

I just returned from a great holiday to Jaipur, half of which was spent at the beautiful Lebua Jaipor resort. We stayed here for the second half of our trip for 3 nights and had a really lovely time. We chose this particular hotel for it's awesome modern architecture and distance from the hustle and bustle from the city. After spending 3 nights smack in the middle of town, we were looking for something a bit more chilled out. We booked the "Celebrate our Love" package which included airport transfers, spa treatments, private dining and a champagne breakfast.

The good things - awesome decor, beautiful and HUGE rooms, and very attentive staff. We were upgraded when we arrived and were thrilled with our 1900 sq ft. villa. The decor was stunning and we had our own sitting room, private pool and the bathroom was the size of our flat in London. The private dining in the evening was very romantic with candles, music and our own wait staff and custom menu that the chef discussed with us earlier that day. The spa was also great.

Things that could have been a bit better - our villa had a private pool which was amazing, however, due to the nature of the architecture, there were loads of holes for pigeons to nest. Therefor there were upwards of 10 - 15 pigeons perched above the pool at any one time which made me concerned about hygiene. One of their feathers dropped in my tea cup as I was sun bathing. I'm not sure there is much that can be done about this, but it wasn't ideal. It was also sadly too cold to use the poo, in February. There were some jacuzzi jets that I thought might mean that the pool was heated but it was not.

The other thing that was not clear to me about our package was the fact that we could have had a tour guide and driver included in the price we paid. We had booked this separately, earlier in the week so felt like it was money wasted. This is just down to communication and we actually lucked out because we had some time to kill before our evening flight and made use of the driver (who was fantastic) on our last day.

I would definitely recommend this hotel for a weekend away if you're looking for a place to relax (which is what we were after!) The service was great, the staff were attentive and the food was good.

Room Tip: From what I gather, all the rooms are quite spacious. The villas were great in terms of location and...

Lebua is a very unusual hotel... all the rooms are in separate structures which are large roomy and comfortable, and although prefab based on the tent model -- the walls are canvas lined in the bedroom. Food great, service great, value great -- what more to say!
