“Great stay in a luxury heritage palace”
Reviewed 12 August 2014

Fabulous heritage Palace converted to a hotel in the heart of the pink city. Rooms are good with all amenities expected from a five star property. The huge Central mughal garden acts as a great foreground to the property with nice views from the rooms. Food is good in ala carte as well as in buffet. Staff is very courteous and hospitality is great. Experienced worth mentioning great courtesy from restaurant manager Mr. Narendra. The only area with some scope of improvement is the speed of service. The huge swimming pool is a delight along with pool, Table tennis and play area for kids.

Room Tip: Ask for rooms facing the garden or the pool.

From the moment we walked in till the time we left... This Taj property was spectacular in every way!! Loved the excellent reception we got... (the photo taken makes for an excellent souvenir).. The property is very well located.. a comfortable 8-10 minutes from the local station.. The service of each and every staff member is to be applauded here.. ever smiling and ever helpful. Special mention to Mr Ajay Sharma at the main desk and Madan at the restaurant. The rooms were comfortable with a lovely supply of Forest Essential toiletries! The breakfast had a wide variety of items to jumpstart your day with and the dinner buffets were spectacular too! Top notch taste with top notch service.. The pool also was lovely! Loved the thoughtful service of bottled water that was served to us there... The manicured lawns and beautiful garden with peacocks lends a gorgeous feel to the whole property. The lit up castle in the night is even more breath taking... we often used to sit post dinner out in the lawns with a hot cup of coffee... Luxury indeed! We shall definitely be back and we wont look beyond Jai Mahal as our choice!

Great palatial property with a feel of history. They organized a folk dance for the guests during the evening which was exquisite. I ordered the kids platter from the room service menu, which could have fed two adults and was delicious. I had a wonderful stay, but the room was a long walk from the reception and the swimming pool.

Jai Mahal palace is about 250 years old property but very well maintained by Taj groups. We stayed there in July for 4 days. They had an excellent summer promotion going on & we were luck to grap the best deal for the Palace hotel. The Property is hugeeee. Booking was easy & the special requestes were taken care without any hassels. The welcome was a royal one !
Excellent staff excellent service nothing to complain about.

On my birthday a surprise cake was arranged a speal hand written bithday card was give to me with a bunch of roses, my bed was nicely decorated too.

Overall the service was courteous, friendly & excellent. I am a big fan of Taj properties & this 1 dint fail me :)

Taj quality at an affordable price - Taj Jai Mahal Palace is an excellent option for a quick weekend getaway from Delhi. Spacious, sprawling lawns, excellent staff and beautiful rooms make the stay memorable.

We were in a group with kids and the swimming pool was the main attraction in the heat. So I read up the reviews on TripAdvisor and booked Luxury room with sitout facing the pool.

In these types of rooms, only a handful have the great location of facing the pool. It was very comfortable as my 8 year old son could come and go to the pool on his own, while we could keep an eye on him from our room. However, these rooms a bit of a walk from the restaurants, but it is really ok.

The hotel being a heritage property does not have lifts, so someone who is not comfortable with stairs or long walk to reach the room should opt for the ones nearer to the reception.
Rooms are nice - like any Taj property and food is also good.

We tried only the coffee shop and found the food and buffet to be quite nice - it is however always quite full, so one should plan ahead.

While the hotel was very well appointed in all manners, we did feel that they were a bit short staffed for housekeeping, especially at night.

We spent all of 3 days there and saw little bit of the city, but mostly it was a relaxing holiday. For city trips for shopping, we hired the hotel cab. The driver could converse well in English and was well mannered.

In the city like Jaipur where like tourists, frauds are also plentiful, our driver took us to a good shop from where we could buy clothes, jewellery, home decor, linen, etc at a good rate.

I also bought some stuff from other shops and while they were a tad cheaper, the quality of product was very bad - while the quality of things I bought from the shop the driver took us to is very good.

Only thing we didn't like about this hotel was that it didn't offer free wifi. I think internet is a basic necessity and should be offered for free, but I have noticed none of the Taj properties offer free Wifi.

Overall, a good and comfortable visit.

Room Tip: If you are comfortable with a long walk and stairs to reach your room and want your kids to access t...

This was our third visit to the place & was once again delightful one. The staff is very courteous & prompt. The location is excellent & central to all the places of interest. Rooms are spacious (especially the ones on the ground floor with a private sit out).
However, once you arrive at the hotel is very unlikely you would feel like going out. Especially for travelers with small kids, this place has a lot to offer to keep the kids entertained.
Also, the food is very good.
Must visit when in Jaipur, you would love the place.

Room Tip: The nes on the ground floor with private sit out facing the pool.

Our third visit and we were awed again. The experience keeps adding, whether it was the food, service and facilities. Swimming and gym, pool table, and table tennis - we enjoyed all. Afternoon heat prevented us from trying out lawn tennis or golf (9 holes).
