“Great value peaceful haven”
Reviewed 24 August 2014

We stayed for a couple of nights and were made to feel very welcome. They were happy to put 2 extra beds in the room for our kids. The place is very clean and our kids loved the pool. There is lots of outside space to play. It is well set back from the road so peaceful.
The restaurant service was painfully slow but there are so many places to eat in jaipur this didn't worry us. The stairs up to the rooms have very far apart posts so be careful with young kids.
They were happy to help arrange trips and the Tuk Tuk drivers outside the gates had great English and were very helpful.
We loved our stay and will definitely be recommending to friends and family.

Everything you want in a modern hotel, clean quiet and comfortable. We slept well, we had our laundry done and it was brought back same day (although they knocked on the door after 10pm, to deliver which was a bit aggravating for us early sleepers). The restaurant is good, but not great. They have a nice pool and facilities with it. I would stay here again, it's far enough away from the bustle of the busy city but easy to catch an auto.

Room Tip: We had a rear-facing third floor room with a balcony, very posh.

First let's talk about breakfast. The chef, Mr Prithi has worked here for 31 years. Every morning he takes a delivery of fresh farm milk which he churns into delightful creamy butter and yoghurt. Fruits from the garden are made into amazing marmalade.
Rooms are all individual, tastefully furnished with polished mahogany pieces. Bathrooms are marble with fully working plumbing!
The rear garden has clean well maintained lawns, a welcoming pool of perfectly warm water and the quiet attention of the staff, ready with the next jug of iced lime water.
This is a well maintained property which reflects the taste and respectability of the owners.

Room Tip: Check out the wide choice of room styles on the website and book early! You can be sure that any spe...

I chose Meghniwas for a 1 night stay for my family strictly on the basis of Tripadvisor rating. And, I did not make a mistake. It is a beautiful small hotel, very neat & clean, hospitable staff and excellent food. I would love to go back there again and again.

I have been going to Jaipur for years and the Meghniwas is my favorite hotel. I feel comfortable and at home there. Col and Mrs Singh look after their guests attentively in a warm and personal manner. The rooms are pleasant; the swimming pool, a treat in hot weather; and the cooking, quite good. One can become attached to the Meghniwas very easily!

I have been coming to Jaipur and Hotel Meghniwas , for more than 18 years on business and not once have I had a single bad experience.
All my friends that I suggested coming to this awesome hotel have fallen in love too and return every time they come to Jaipur.
The establishment is run efficiently and without fanfare.
The pool is delightful after a days running around Jaipur dealing with producers.

Room Tip: Every room is different and even though I LoVvve room 206 because it is a whole 3 room suite and I c...

My third stay here. It is a family -run hotel and the food is good. The buffet service is excellent and the staff are both friendly and attentive. The rooms are spotless and we were enchanted by the block-printed bedlinen along with the handpainted wall decorations. It was a little chilly to use the pool this time but still great to sit beside it at breakfast. The owners arranged an excellent driver to take us on the next stages of our journey. The receptionist helped us to make reservations for our next stops. Nothing was too much trouble.

Room Tip: Try to avoid a room at the front if you cannot cope with traffic noise. However the garden in front...
