I have been there to attend a marriage reception and amazed to see the decoration and the way by which chokhi Dhani has preserved our old culture in the form of statues and other articles. The food was deliciously well. They have large space to accomodate 2-3 event simultaneously. Lighting arrangement was very impressive. Only drawback is that they don't have ample parking space even though being a large resort.

If you want to have a close look of rural India or rather rural Rajasthan just pay a visit to this nice resort whenever in or around jaipur. Showcasing arts and crafts from across the state. The food is the exotic and loads of butter they serve with the dinner will definitely overload your tummy.

Brought my european guest over to Chokhi Dhani for a fun evening. He freaked out at the magician, snapped the dancers and enjoyed the bullock cart ride! We went to the food hut - but thankfully for my friend, we were guided to the chair'ed seating facilities. The rooms were an experience in itself - experienced it though prefer the conventional setups. OK for a change - but for a change only. Relaxed and loved the ambience and the moments...Full value for money...

And leave rest in the hands of the people who will cater to you...SPECIALLY those who will serve vegetarian thali's to you in the village restaurant. (My wife can, if she wants, hop on a train from Delhi to have that vegetarian thali and catch the next train back home)

As i did, you can book one day in their resort, they have both Resort and a village inside it.

Resort will give you a comforting and relaxing stay and the village will take you back in time...the cost of the food, camel/elephant/ bullock cart rides will literally take you back to time....i wish the cost of stay at the resort was the same, but it's as per a good 4 star facility.

Resort has all modern facilities disc, conference halls etc for business meeting but all done in vintage look

Chokhi Dhani is a great place to stay if one is in Jaipur for one day or two. The entire area is just built on a model of a Rajasthani Village yet inside each cottage one has all the facility of a standard hotel. Visited in the cold January month so the room could do with a more powerful heater. As one enters one is greeted in a traditional Rajasthani/Indian style and the gurads are very polite. There are two/three placed to eat and an open bar outside which is just a great experience to sit outside, relax and enjoy a drink. Food at Ambrosia is average. Breakfast has the usual standard buffet spread but service is slow as our coffee never came. In the evening there is a Rajasthani village fair and one can go and spend an hour or two in seeing the sound and sights oif a typical Rajasthani Village Fair and enjoy some good local food. Overall the experience was great. This is a safe, great way to stay and enjoy some local flavour.Give it try the next time you are in Jaipur-

Room Tip: -Ask for Deluxe Rooms -Book a car in advance so travel to and from the city will be easy

If you love Rajasthani Thali, then this is the place for you. We went to Chokhi Dhani on our first trip to Jaipur on Jan, 2014. Chokhi Dhani is actually a big resort spreaded over a huge area. It basically describes the old tradition of Rajasthani people. There are dances, magic shows, shops , small food stalls all around the area to keep you busy. You would love to be there. The atmosphere is electric. The resort opens at 5pm , and they start serving food from 7pm. Entry fees is rupees 700 each for multicrusine, and rupees 500 each for the traditional Rajasthani Thali. The multicruisine food is served in a AC room whereas the rajasthani thali is arranged as a buffet in open air. Its basically self-service, but there are some so called waiters (traditionally dressed) who can help you if you need something in mid of your meal.
I am a big fan for Rajasthani food, and hence I opted for the thali. There were a total number of 10 different mouth watering dishes. I started with hot rotis (dipped completely in desi ghee, rajasthani food is incomplete without ghee) and a mix veg sabji, some daal , baati and churma. Each dish was the the best of its kind I ever had. They serve two three different types of rotis. They feed you till your heart is full. Everything on the menu is unlimited. Its worth the price. If you are in Jaipur you love rajasthani food, then Chokhi dhani is highly recommended for you.

Location: its located in one end of the city. (approx 30 mins drive from city center).
Parking: available at 30 rupees per car.
Ambiance: good
Food Quality : very good
Food quantity: unlimited.
Food options: many.
Overall: Good.!!

Room Tip: If you have kids, your kids will just love this place, specially the camel/elephant rides. Reach th...
