Excellent hotel - good time to spend with family. It is away from the city and has got large campur. Combination of both village look and normal look is marvellous. Kids enjoyed the various rides, camel ride , puppet shows , dances etc. Rajasthani food was excellent .

This is an ethnic theme resort at Jaipur. It is mainly targeted at Non Indian tourists for whom an Indian village is a novelty. There is nothing much for Indian tourists since most of the arts on display and food items, which are the novelty for the foreign tourists are anyway easily available across the country. It also turns out to be costly for the local tourists, unless your company is footing the bill! In our case it was the venue of a conference, so the price was not a consideration.
The entertainment was routine, as was the food. Service left much to be desired. Since the group was very large only buffet meals were arranged.
The conference facilities were top class and there was not much left out in the arrangements for the business part of the meet.

We were a group of 10 including 4 kids - the kids really enjoyed the night mela- though at first sight the architecture looks great and the place looks well maintained there were enough problems
1. Feeding small kids was definitely an issue- I wanted some dal pureed- they said that they do not have a pressure cooker and the blender was out of order-there was no inclination to provide any kind of solution
2. Room service as well as service at the restaurants was very slow. A couple of guests at the restaurant raised their voices to complain- we had already waited more than half an hour for our order to arrive by then
3. We had given clothes for laundry. They mixed up the clothes- some of our clothes got lost and we got someone elses' clothes as well
4.Many of the drawers in the room did not open

Just a visit for the mela would be good (though quite far from the city) but definitely not worth the price for staying here

If you are looking for 'perfect' hotel service, this might not be the place, but if you are looking at relaxing and letting your mind wander away from stress and work; or if you want to get a taste of Rajasthani culture and hospitable warmth, then you have made the right decision.

The staff is very helpful, yet not as suave and sophisticated as a business hotel. They make you feel at home and go overboard to make your stay enjoyable.

Try and get a package deal at the hotel; it is worth it. Word of caution: do not expect a lavish buffet nor a wide variety of world cuisine here.

Overall, an above average hotel for a long weekend or a business getaway.

Must see: The village setting and the Rajasthani dinner
Avoid: Expecting a lot in terms of variety of cuisine

Almost very year we go to chokhi dhani once. It was wonderful place. It is very good week-end getaway for us as we stay in gurgaon. In evening their village is amazing. Kids just love that place. Their authetic rajasthani food is also very good. please don't eat anything after lunch if u want to enjoy that food. And the food is very heavy with lots of ghee in it. Winters is a better time(from oct-mid march) to visit the place.

Chokhi Dhani is overall an excellent place to stay and enjoy Rajastani hospitality. This place is quite far from Jaipur city centre. We went to Amber palace and then after lunch we headed towards Chokhi Dhani anticipating we would drop our stuff and come back to city to see few more things. But once we got there after negotiating with terrible traffic jams it was already too late and we decided to spend the rest of the evening in the resort. It was not a bad idea as we had few kids with us. They enjoyed the atmosphere. Everyone of us was served a glass of butter-milk at the reception. The whole area was divided into "resort" and "village". The resort comes to life in the evening with the village being the main attraction. Overall a nice place to visit if you want to get a taste of Rajathani hospitality
