Being in such a place make it weird when you feel that people more than a 200 years ago was already studying the stars and even thought they didn't have any of our modern technology they were able to give a good and precise accounts thanks to the equipment available at this time. The big clock is really impressive and being the biggest in the world make it even more awesome. The place certainly is nice to visit and if you have a good guide its even more easy to understand things.

“Interesting collection!”

We didn't want to go since it was very hot but we went through with it anyway. This place is amazing...I didn't realize that they were already so skillful and knowledgeable in the skies and astronomy...worth your time, but try to go there early morning or during cooler months to truly appreciate it...we were hiding in the shade most of the time :)

“Informative visit”

Great visit, do take a guide with you to explain the exhibits. Thoroughly recommend the exhibits. Hopefully visit in a sunny day to be able to see the display in action.

“Jantar Mantar”
Reviewed 22 November 2013

We visited this place this october last. The weather was cozy. I would suggest to visit twice. Grab the place a close look in the day time view and in the evening you may enjoy the sound and light show which explain every details of its geometry, shape, calculation, formulas, architecture etc.

Very close to city palace. Just at the right of the city palace meuseum entrance gate. During winter it closes at 4.30pm and the sound light show starts at 7pm. 2 mins walks only.

Each section displays separate models for different type of calculations. Sunrise, sunset, time, longitude, latitude, horoscope etc.

Amaizing scientific calculation. During those days we had so much but still so simple it was!!! and today being so advanced with technologies we still have to wait and depend on so many things and so complicated it is....
