ISKCON Jaipur, Sri Sri Giridhari Dauji Temple
Ranked #83 of 227 things to do in Jaipur
More attraction details
Attraction details
Owner description: In September 1965, His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada left the shores of India to fulfill the prophesy made five hundred years ago by Lord Chaitanya that His names would be chanted in every town & village of the world. In this Kali-Yuga, the centers of Krishna Consciousness are like oases in the desert. One such oasis of spiritual shelter will be the ISKCON Sri Sri Giridhari Dauji Temple. Srila Prabhupada has delivered Sri Sri Radha Govindaji to the whole world. It was his expressed desire to have a very beautiful ISKCON Temple in Jaipur.

Awesome place to visit.. A holy place.. At this temple we just loved the atmosphere .. Totally superb .. My family members enjoys a lot.. Only that the road which is near by temple has to renovate so any car or any other vehicle can comfortably run.. But our experience was awesome.

“A Temple Oriented for Tourism”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 February 2014

I have paid several visits to this upcoming (still under construction) huge palatial temple with several tourism facilities, incessant appeals for charitable donations with attractive publicity for donors and extensive array of "holy" and blessed token souvenirs.

Idols are there and one can feign to be visiting them for spiritual strength on ritualistic lines but pray you can at home in greater peace. The place appears to be an example of latest religeous entertainment venture.

The place will of course have great architectural spendour in due course of time and will continue to invite visitors and attract masses on its religious feast fairs.

“Hare Rama Hare Krishna”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 March 2013

I have visited many ISKCON temple's in the past and the jaipur one is under construction right now. i like the atmosphere of ISKCON temple's as it's kind of different and funny sometimes.
You will find people from different countries are members there. enjoying bhajans and having fun.
people come from all across the globe in the search of peace and spirituality. I went there on Janmasthami evening and the temple was over crowded.they told it is going to take 5-6 hours to enter the temple. so i withdrew the decision of darshan at the time. but i would surely like to visit the temple again.
