“Relaxing experience in a palace”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 June 2010

Great place from inside. If you look at it from outside, you may start wondering if this place is really worth it, but get inside and its a different world all together. Rooms are a bit compact but done very well. Wash rooms are excellent with detail to hygene and comfort.

Ambience is great within the palace. You could enjoy the swimming pool, take a stroll within the palace itself or enjoy great food options - once inside you may not feel the need to get out

Was very apprehensive as I arrived at the hotel after a 90 minute drive from Jaipur. The place outside the hotel was a mess!
But once inside the fort/palace wall... the mood that set in was just fantastic! Beautiful building... and fantastic rooms! Each room is done up very beautifully - in traditional rajasthani style. My room had an outside seating + bedroom with dressing table and then a room just as big as the bedroom that included a standalone tub, a shower stall and the rest of the toilet. The staff seemed a little lost, but did concede to getting me a nightcap beyond bar-closing hours. Was a great experience.

The hotel is a fort, converted to a palace, converted to a hotel. a wonderful warren of corridors and courtyards. The Durbar Hall is a fantastic venue and the staff are so attentive. The only down side was that the menu was quite limited, but that can be forgiven as the food was good. They appeared to cater mostly for buffet style parties, (both nights we were there) so the odd guests needing to eat from a menu was the reason we did not have more choice. Our room was fantastic, really quirky.

there are 60 rooms in this hotel- it competes with nearby samode palace hotel and is not a patch on it yet its rates are higher-
the rack rate of our room was 19,000 rupees !! we were the only guests that night- the staff was very nice but i think the owner needs to be real- the location of this place is poor- its neither in shekhawato nor in jaipur so why will people stay here at these ridiculous rates ? the dinner was aweful and at v v high prices-
this place must be avoided.

Its a truely beutiful hotel built inside a old fort.
The rooms are just par excellence, non of the rooms in the hotel are similar and they have kept the rooms as they were in the olden days, just changd the furniture for comfort.
The food is just excellent.
The hotel gardens are superbly doneup as is the lighting in the evening.
We had a really good time in the hotel, just relaxing and lazing around.
We saw the most beutiful rooms in the hotel like the maharani suite and the other suites as all are different.
One has to stay here if someone is close to delhi or going to Jaipur.

Chomu Palace is an elegant fortified palace hotel which revives the gracious lifestyle of the princes of Rajasthan. Located 33 kms from North West of Jaipur towards Sikar road, is easily assessable by road. Standing sentinel at the entrance to the town is designed according to Indian Vastushastra. Each wall of the hotel reverberates with regal and aristocratic charm. The original work and interiors of the fort takes back to the world of kings and great warriors. Structure & Design: Foundation of Chomugadh (at present Chomu Palace Hotel) was laid by Thakur Karan Singh ji between 1606 and 1621 A.D. The successors of Karan Singh ji continued to make additions to the fort and finally completed by Mohan Singh Ji in 1714 A.D. Most part of the fort was designed according to Indian Vastushastra and Shilpashastra philosophy. The site for the fort was identified by Pandit Prenidasji. This place was ideal to establish fort because it was visible only when one go deep into the jungle and it gives resemblance to a lake.
