We booked this hotel for five of us as we toured the golden triangle in India in November. Fantastic value for money, paying around £5 each a night for the equivalent of a four-five star hotel.
I'd communicated via email with the manager Mr Singh before we flew out and everything was as planned, we were picked up from the train station and had a third bed in our room as requested. We also met him at dinner.
We also ended up eating in the rooftop hotel restaurant on both of our nights here as the food was fantastic.
Clean sheets, amazing shower and the boys in our group even took advantage of the laundry services!
The hotel also gave great advice on where to go - Galta, the floating palace and the fort (which you reach by elephant!) are a must.
We loved it here and had a fantastic couple of evenings in the middle of a very busy but brilliant trip. The standard also far outstripped other places we had stayed in in Delhi and had paid the same for.
If you go to Jaipur, go here!!!

Room Tip: email the hotel with your requests

The peacock restaurant is a fantastic place to come. The food is really good but more than anything is the atmosphere and the attention to details put into the decor that makes this place thoroughly unique!

This is a small budget hotel, but is 5 star for service and comfort. Do not be put off by the price this is a very nice place to stay. The staff are friendly and efficient and willing to help.
The room was modern, well furnished and very comfortable.
The rooftop restaurant is excellent with good food and views across the city.
Stay here........you will not be disappointed.

We stayed one night as we could not have 3 nights at Pearl Place Heritage. We would happily stay again as this was one of the best places we stayed with a very good resturant, clean room, hot water and everything you need in the bathroom. Pleasant staff help run these hotels very well and both hotels are a credit to the owners when you compare them to other places we have stayed in India. They may not be Oberoi or Taj hotels but are all that is need in comfort and cleanliness unless you are looking for luxury.

Very nice owners. It was the cleanest place we stayed in India. It was very safe. There was hot water. The rooms were nice. I would stay here again. I recommend it to any travelers. I enjoyed the restaurant. It was nice to be able to change over US dollars to rupees at the front desk. There were many travelers there from all around the world.

I went there with my sister for 2 nights during late December 2013. We arrived by bus from Dehli quite late and the hotel sent a tuktuk to pick us, which was nice.
The receptionist helped us organized the following day with the same tuktu driver.
So we had our tour the following day and finish with the "Sound & Light show" at Amber Fort. When the show ended at 8pm, it was all dark outside, and the driver jus disappeared! The tuktuk was in the car park, but no sign of the driver. We called the hotel and were replied that we did not have booked a tour with them! The receptionist must have had some unofficial agreement with the driver... Anyway, it was scandalous! Two girls, lost in the middle of nowhere, it was all dark, with no one outside except scary tuktuk drivers that insisted on bringing us back to the city centre.

The hotel is simle but clean, but be aware of the staff there...

Mr.Singh, Owner at Hotel Pearl Palace, responded to this review, 27 March 2014
Dear Sandrine XUAN & Hélène Xuan ,
I read your review on Trip advisor.I had discussed this whole matter with you when you were here and again wrote to you.

I remember your stay at our hotel in December last year, and also speaking to you over the phone the next morning after your trip to Amer fort for the Light and sound show.

Maa’m I want to with all sincerity tell you that first of all my staff was in no way involved with the tuk tuk driver. The drivers who are send for pick up of guests are done so on the recommendation of previous guests where we have got positive feedback. You decided to take the same driver who picked you for your sight seeing in the morning. No one pressurized you to do so.Again in every room and in the the complimentary guidebook given to every guest as well as in the reception we have clearly written that the hotel is in no way contracted with any driver.I remember telling you this when you were here and you had said that you had seen these.Again it is always better to take the mobile number of the driver so you can contact him anytime. How can you blame the hotel staff to be involved with the driver.Let me again remind you that it was 8 ‘clock in the evening and you were in a public place with a lot of other guests and not in some remote ,secluded area of Jaipur.
The driver did not dupe or misbehave with you in anyway ,or take you for a forced shopping trip for commission. The driver is an orphan who has through his own part time hardwork hired a tuk tuk on rent and is also studying part time. Seeing his sincerity towards his work we hired him for pickup( one of hired pickup driver ).His only mistake was that he went to meet you at the gate of the show but missed you. Here he was looking for you at the gate and you reached the car park.Your anger would be justified if the driver had left the fort without you,but as you yourself have written that his tuk tuk was standing in the car park.Laying the blame on the hotel for this is totally unfair. You called up the hotel for another tuk tuk but since the duty of the reception manager had changed and the night manager had just come in he was not aware that any guest had gone out for Light and sound show and with which driver. But when he came to know that you were at the fort he was ready to send you another tuk tuk.As you know the fort is some distance from the hotel so obviousy the driver would take 20-25 minutes to reach you.The other driver send by the night manager kept looking for you at the fort and called up the hotel to tell him that he could not find you.My night manager called you a number of times on your international mobile number as he was concerned about you.You chose to come with some other guest and reached Hotel Karni Niwas and again you called us for a driver to pick you from the other hotel.A car was immediately send to bring you. There was no problem in our services or staff behavior so why should the hotel be blamed for it.Even the tuk tuk driver did not cheat you in any way.It was just a miscommunication between you and the driver which would not have happened if you had noted his mobile phone number. When you complained about the driver we removed him from the hotel services and have not till date employed hired him.I also suspended my receptionist for 10 days during high season to set an example for the other staff as to why he could not explain and clear the misunderstanding with the guest, and the receptionist quietly accepted the suspension without any fault of his .I am taken aback by the whole unfortunate episode.

Out of courtesy and the belief that the guest is always right your whole stay including food to dropping at the station was made complimentary by us.You also did not pay the tuk tuk driver anything for a whole day of sight seeing as well as for taking you to the fort.We have the whole recording on our security cameras in which the whole issue was settled and you had said that the matter was settled.

I cannot understand how my staff was involved just because the driver could not locate you. What would my staff gain by asking the driver to intentionally leave you at the Amber fort .You came to our hotel on a friends recommendation. We always care for our guests and the guest is most important for us.

Humanity I think should be not to harm anothers image .It is unjust to harm the reputation of the hotel without any fault of ours.

We welcome you and your family at our hotel,to experience our services as we our commited to our guests. If we have hurt you in anyway I apologise for it.

Sincerely,

Mr.Singh,
Owner,
Hotel Pearl Palace.
