“Lovely hotel! No need to stay anywhere else”
Reviewed 11 June 2014

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. The hotel is beautifully decorated and very clean. We had an AC room (which kept nice and cold) that was massive with an ensuit! The staff are very friendly. Perfect location!
There is a restaurant on the top of hotel which is soo nice and the food is yummy!

We spend only a night in this hotel but we could stay a week as the team is very professional. The roof top restaurant has a good food and drink quality for economic budget as well. THe room has been the cleanest we had in india and the decoration done with a lot of taste.

I really recommend this hotel.

Hotel Pearl Palace seems to be quite high up in lots of guides books and travel sites, and you can see why - the place has a good buzz to it, and feels like a posh hostel where you can meet other travellers easily, as well as stay in a good room. We made the mistake of staying in just a fan room in late may, so when we returned for 1 night a few days later an a/c room turned out to be much better - don't make this mistake during the summer! The rooms were generally quite clean, and wifi was available for a good price. The restaurant on the roof is also very good, and has good food with a nice atmosphere. Staff at this hotel were all very nice, except for one guy who let them down when my girlfriend asked reception for a spare towel, as I was sick with a temperature and needed cooling down - he wasn't bothered and instantly said no, 'checked' for a split second and then said no again... how can you not have an extra towel somewhere, you're a hotel!! This was a bit of a strange incident though as other staff were kindly asking how I was feeling at other points during our stay, so maybe he was just having a bad day. Putting that aside, we enjoyed our stay here, and would definitely recommend the hotel.

Dear Guest,
Thank you for your feedback on your stay with us.I am glad to know that you had a pleasant stay with us.We try to make the stay of every guest comfortable. But I am sorry to know that the towel you had asked from the staff was not given to you.We have some new staff recently employed by us and I think they not being aware of our policy refused your request.I apologise to you on behalf of my staff.I have again briefed my staff regarding this.
I hope on your next stay with us you will be fully satisfied with our services.
Warm regards,

This place, and it's wonderful owners have simply got it right.

The rooms are simple but clean. In addition they are beautifully decorated, as is the whole building. There's fine art modern and traditional lining the walls. The building itself tiled with fantastic decorative Indian tiles. It was simply a pleasure to walk the corridors and nosy in any corners/spare rooms (naughty me ;)

In addition they have a fantastic restaurant on the roof serving some of the best food we ate in India - popular with the locals too (gotta be a good sign right!). If that wasn't enough Thursdays and Saturdays (if my memory's working...) they have free and live music - sitar stuff just casual and most enjoyable. As was our stay in all really.

Last point - staff were top notch. Friendly, informative and welcoming (thanks for a great stay!).

So this was one of two places for us that really got it right in India. Pearl palace was as cheap as anywhere else we'd stayed in India but it was just the little things that made the world of difference. Here at the Pearl they offered nothing more or less than anywhere else, they just did it better - whether accommodation, food or service they set the benchmark and they set it high.

(In case you're wondering - the other place we loved in India was Castle View Homestay in Jodhpur - similarly set the standard for us. Perfect)

Beautiful design everywhere, especially the roof top restaurant and common hall. clean rooms. Very delicious food served in roof top peacock restaurant. The service is also very good and the staff there are very kindly and helpful. Good feeling reception. I like it very much. I also luckily saw the Mr Singh, who open the hotel as his hobby, but he do it very well.

I chose this as a last minute day hotel from Lonely Planet and what a good suggestion of theirs! A great hotel, costs 1200 for the day, has a great roof-top restaurant and Wi-Fi throughout (though charges in your room, free from the restaurant and common room, of which the signal reaches throughout the hotel). Rooms are fine in size and good wet/shower room and located in a quiet area near to the station (80 rupee tut-tut ride) and helpful staff. The hotel also had a really fun vibe and atmosphere - I would highly recommend!
