This was my second visit to this home style hotel. It is a huge mansion turned into a small hotel and does not have a touristy, commercial feel to it. It is located in a quiet inner street of a central residential area right behind the Collectorate Circle. Three wheelers are available any time of the day. The lawn at the back is often visited by beautiful peacocks and it is a pleasure to sit out for a cup of tea or breakfast. The food is good, low on spices and very fairly priced. The restaurant serves vegetarian food and there is no bar. The owner and staff are so accomodating that they let us use their lounge for our artisans working on hand crafted beads jewelery.
We missed our train during the current trip and Jiten, the front desk executive, went out of the way to try and find alternatives for us. He made a personal trip to arrange bookings for us on the bus. Amazing hospitality !More
