“Great Hotel, but a Bit Isolated”
Reviewed 21 August 2014

We stayed here for three nights in mid-July.Our room was well-appointed, large bed, A/C, overhead fan, fridge, free Wi-Fi, TV and a small balcony (though it really couldn’t be used because lots of pigeons were sitting on the railing and their droppings were on the chairs and ground) and a pool, which was a plus at the end of the day after walking around in 110 degree heat! The rooftop restaurant was very good, which was important since there really is nowhere else within walking distance to eat, except for a couple of other hotels. Breakfast was included: cereal, yogurt, toast, eggs, fruit, Indian dishes.

Let me begin with positive note: over all Very good in every aspect except laundry service. though we pay so much but in return if we get back cloths without proper wash i feel , i have been cheated. not in terms of money but in terms of quality of service one expect from hotel like your's.

Room Tip: Please ensure and provide when any customer request for towels and bed spread every day. not that th...

I was suggested this by my cousin.Once I stepped into Umaid Mahal, I was overwhelmed. Room services were good, good housekeeping and room was beyond my expectation. It was nice, clean, cozy and beautiful. I never came across such royal like hotels in India for the price we paid. Maybe not too many options for breakfast, but otherwise our stay was fantastic. We even hired their car for our trip to Agra and then New Delhi. All I can say is I just loved this little palace in Jaipur, and would like to stay in the same hotel if I have to visit Jaipur ever again.

This hotel is one of the best memory of my Jaipur trip. Superb looks, Amazing collection of heritage items, Cleanliness, great food and much more. The hotel is placed beautifully near the main road but still very quiet. Just entering in you will experience the richness of the maharajas and heritage of India. As told by the receptionist, it was previously a lodge for those who come for hunting which was now renovated to this hotel. It offers great food, good variety of beverages, a nice swimming pool which is small but very beautiful. Surely a place worth the money at any time.

Room Tip: get the Royal deluxe room if possible. But I have no clue about other rooms.

Beautiful heritage hotel, very friendly and helpfull staff. My son and me felt like a prince and princess in this beautiful palace. It was clean, very nicely decorated. The pool is small but very nice to refresh after a hot day in town. The food in the restaurant was good although on a rainy the day the inside restaurant is a bitt dull. It is not near the old town but 15 min drive with auto or car. The AC is a bit noisy.
