“Beautiful oasis.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 July 2014

We stayed for two nights in this beautiful oasis in December 2013. Our room was on the second floor next to the reading room, overlooking the restaurant courtyard. The reading room was a little treasure I was happy to utilise. Staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. The breakfasts were well catered and much appreciated. I would imagine the clean swimming pool would be welcome relief in the hotter months; we didn't need to use it in Dec. I would highly recommend making this your home away from home in busy Jaipur.

Room Tip: Avoid ground floor rooms as they are a bit noisy and the cigarette smoke from the smokers at poolsid...

What a great little hotel. My room is clean and adorable and there's a clean swimming pool that I was grateful for in 40+ temperatures. The service is fantastic, with a staff member wherever you turn, willing to help you out or get you a cold drink. Breakfast is a little buffet, with hot choices like eggs and hash browns. They have a small lunch and dinner menu. I only ever had the fried rice which was nice. The location is near the bus station but I felt safe. It is about a 10 minute walk to the markets within the pink city. I picked up some cheap items at the markets and enjoyed wandering around. In the afternoons I walked to the main road and grabbed some street food. There are men selling pakora and fruit, both safe choices for a westerner's tummy! Turn right on the main road for a great place making fresh naan bread and some fried foods like samosa and pakora. Overall a great experience.

Room Tip: Poolside room is small but a nice spot if you don't mind the noise from other pool goers

A really good base for exploring the city. A very warm welcome and a spotless room with a great shower and all the amenities you could wish for. Delightful small swimming pool which was very cold when we were there in Feb. The staff are very helpful. We ate in the hotel one night and it was very good. Breakfasts were adequate. Getting around by Tuk Tuk was fine.

Only stayed one night in this beautiful hotel. The room was large and beautifully appointed and the bathroom facilities were great. Staff were courteous, helpful and very attentive. They made our stay so welcome and the breakfast was an added bonus. Swimming pool was welcome after spending the day sightseeing in and around Jaipur in the 116degreee heat and if we would have had more time there the reading room definitely would have been worth a few hours of relaxation. Being central to the shops etc we were pleasantly surprised at the peace and quiet offered by the hotel. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Having glimpsed some of the other rooms I would imagine that any of the rooms in the hotel are well...

Stayed here 2 nights as part of a Golder Triangle tour package. This was by far the best hotel I have stayed in in India. The decor is beautiful & well thought out. We never had any power cuts (5* Taj take note). The staff were attentive & very helpful but above all the food was excellent. Jaipur is a beautiful city, I wish I had more time to explore. If I ever get the chance to go back I will most definitely be staying here again.
Keep an eye out for the study on the first floor which over looks the pool.

The hotel was the highlight of my trip. I stayed in many hotels on India but this one has the best memories. The hotel is family owned and the family are lovely. The food was great and the service so good that I felt like a very special guest in my time there.
The art in the hotel gives the guest a good idea of the family history which is lovely for visitors.

A very nice old fashioned type of hotel. we had an excellent room, large well equipped and comfortable. The food choice was limited but had a very nice home cooked quality to it. The staff were very polite and although we had a slight language problem at breakfast on one occasion I still had the best scrambled eggs ever! The hotel is small but has a decent sized swimming pool.
