“Good if you want to hole up”
Reviewed 14 March 2014

I stayed here with my family for two days during a visit to Jaipur. In hindsight I think I should have paid more. The hotel is clean and presentable however the reception staff are not exactly on the ball. There are no good restaurants in the locality so you need to like the catering provided in the basement. Food is basic India fare. The accommodation is a double room self catering apartment. You could personalise the apartment and hole yourself here for a while but for a short stay it's below my comfort level. There is however a kettle, microwave and fridge. Ablutions are basic but there is a sit down toilet. In hindsight I wish I had bought my own wine and G&T as the hotel and area are dry. The main feature of the hotel is the turfed concrete flat roof which is a quirky feature but ideal for sun downers.

Room Tip: Some rooms are triangular others are square. If you stay in the summer, make sure your swamp cooler...

I stayed in Om NIwas many a time while on business trip or Personal with Family. Since the hotel is located in a residential area so a peaceful and noiseless environment is assured here. Location, amenities, friendliness and a quality room at an affordable price are unbeatable features of Om Niwas. The hotel is just 10 minutes from either the main Bus stand Sindhi Camp or Rail station. The room are designed very aesthetically. Calling it a 'Home away from home' wouldn't be Exaggerating, I love staying here.

Room Tip: Just book and get in to enjoy the peace here.

I stayed here for 3 days last week. The hotel is located in a residential area so one can expect a peaceful and noiseless environment here. The hotel is just 10 minutes from either the main Bus stand Sindhi Camp or Rail station. The hotel is very conveniently located which helps to plan your trip to visit the places of interest in Jaipur. The size of the room which i stayed was huge compared to the price though it is just beside reception but it never was disturbing. The room designs are very aesthetic. The service of the staffs are very prompt. I reached the hotel at a very odd hours past midnight but the hotel reception staff was very very helpful and actively helped my auto driver to find the location at that time of the night. Food is good nothing exceptional but just fine. But the hotel should re-consider their rates tagged to the food items it serves to its guests.

i would love to come again and stay here whenever i am in Jaipur.

Room Tip: Each and every room i suppose is very spacious compared to the price the hotel charges from the gues...

Can't beat Om Niwas for location, amenities, friendliness and a quality room at an affordable price.
People are friendly, kitchen is clean, well run and provides all the necessities for western and eastern tastes. Great for long term stay as large rooms provide kitchenettes with all necessary utilities. But remember, you're close to the train station and the early morning 'whistles' of the trains will be heard unless you're a very heavy sleeper!

Om Niwas is an exceptional property! The suites are spacious, the beds are COMFORTABLE, the hallways are wide and with natural light, and the rooftop garden is much more spacious and beautiful than the picture on the net. This is truly a 'home away from home' for all level of traveler. The care the staff takes to maintain the property is down to the last detail! Everyone on staff was alert to our needs and a joy to interact with. I have stayed in the 5 star mega hotels to the local B&B's, and Niwas was more conformable than all of them!

The travel to the tourist sites is easy and accessible and the shopping staggers the imagination.

Room Tip: Choose the top floor rooms...405 gets all day sun and for this time of year it was superb! We staye...

We used this lovely place for accommodating our relatives who have come to Jaipur for a family function. Mrs Pooja Bansal and Ms Reetika helped us out in chalking out the plan and allloting comfortable rooms which are like one bedroom or two bedroom apartments. We almost felt as staying in our home as the rooms were spacious and clean with the desired furniture in each room.

Food served in the restaurant was exactly home cooked type without much oil and spices.

The terrace lawn was a surprise for our guests and we all had a wonderful get together on one evening. We hope we did not disturb other guests :)

Thanks Mrs Pooja and her wonderful team for the great hospitality rendered.

I stayed at Om Nivas for 5 days at the end of December. The staff was great! and made me feel very welcome. They organized some tours for me as well and gave good advice on sightseeing. I felt very safe there, which was important to me traveling as a solo female. The rooms are large with kitchenette. I loved the marble floors and the roof terrace was great to experience the sunset. :)

Some general tips for Jaipur, Agra and Delhi: it can get quite cold in December and watch out for drivers (cars, tuctuc or bicycle rickshaw) and guides take you to commission stores for souvenirs instead of where you want to go.
