There is normally an opinion that if the food tastes good for your mouth, it will not be good for your health. But if you are looking for a place to eat a tasty and healthy course, Sanjeevanam is your abode. I had been to this restaurant quite a few times and the best on menu, according to me is the RAJAKEEYAM meals, which starts with 5 little shots of drinks, each to instigate the 5 types of taste buds and goes on through delicious yet consciously cooked healthy menu of Kerala and is wrapped up with a spoon of honey. Apart from this, one can order a-la carte and there are healthy
Beverages like Amla Ginger juice as well. Overall Sanjeevanam is an ideal place to go for a family treat when you have elders who can eat without fear and you too can enjoy.

i love food. tasty food. particularly non veg. by accident i went to this restaurant for meals. i thought it was a usual restaurant. the moment i saw the colorful juice like drink served in a tiny glass i succumbed. it took other also with me. only when we tasted we started crying. because the people who came with me are good eaters addict to taste. the stuff was awful. there after salad after salads were placed which was further awful. this continued and at last the rice came and other routine gravies came. but still the taste never improved. then only we realized that it was a health food. people who are too concern on pleasing their taste buds, this is not the right place. but for old people who are restricted in diet , this is the right place. so dont be disappointed.

the food, though we ordered for what means the EMPEROR"S MEAL, was not impressive.
the starters, health drinks, main course, desserts - all are made with the idea of a strict veggie, diet food - without any oil and much of spices.
Hence, not hot and spicy. I believe that the onions and garlic were also missing.
Definitely, not a place to visit if you wanted tasty, spicy food.

The menu is unique and so are the people come down to the place. The kinds to speak a lot of English before they finally have some bits and pieces of some raw vegetables. But it certainly isn't all that bad.

A meal at the place is served in a set order and if you stick to that, you'll certainly learn to love veggies as well.

I love going to Sanjeevan for Ayurveda influenced food.

Steer clear if you like oily stuff. Their Rajakyaam Lunch is both tasty and filling. The food is prepared according to Ayurevedic principles - you start with raw food, then move on to semi-cooked food and finally to fully cooked food. All dishes are prepared with very little or no oil.

They also have a good variety of dishes - North Indian and South Indian - all prepared without oil and according to ayurvedic principles.
