Owner description: Originally started with a more serious conservation point of view, Crocodile Bank is now the weekend spot for a fascinating day of herpetology. For the kids, it’s a special treat to see large crocs spend the day languorously by the water. The Madras Crocodile Bank Trust and Centre for Herpetology also allows adults to volunteer and gain hands-on experience in the field.

“Well worth a visit”
Reviewed 10 November 2013

Visited recently and have to say was really worthwhile
Never seen so many crocs in one place!
Staff were friendly and informative
Minimal entry fee too!
If you do go layer yourself in insect repellent...could feel myself being eaten alive there

“Pleasant side trip”
Reviewed 28 October 2013

While I would not recommend Crocodile Bank as a destination in itself, its a good stopover point on the way to Poindicherry or Mahabalipuram.

Its not often that you get the opportunity to see so many crocodiles from all parts of the world in a single location. The park is well laid out and has a good selection of crocodiles.

Considering the entrance fee, it is certainly value for money.

Really saw all sizes of crocodiles. Some were looking like they were dead with mouth open. It was wierd sight ! Looked like statues.
But were told that this is their tactic of catching prey .
