I am a regular customer of this place. We normally go there a couple of times every month. The food is very delicious. Staying out of Kolkata, We get the taste of Bengal here. The quality is very good and price is also affordable. Anyone coming to Chennai....should be there.

This eatery is one of a kind...a very Bengali affair straight out of Kolkata with the atmosphere, taste and the tradition served just right on your platter...
'Be a Roman when in Rome' they say...so eat like a Bong to do justice to the huge 'Pabda Maach' or the spicy mutton gravy which tastes divine...rather "Khub Bhalo"...as a Bong would say...
The restaurant itself is botched up and is crying for renovation at the earliest...not that it is falling apart but a new coat of paint would hide the scars. If you genuinely want to enjoy eating and staring back at the whole fish swimming in gravy as if nothing else matters, this is place you got to be....
A hefty meal for a couple or with all your town folks will not burn your wallet and the best part is that the daily menu is limited to 10 to 15 items at the max and you have rarest of the rare oppurtunity to order everything on the menu if you are up for it...have you ever done that ??...welcome to Annapurna.
(Oh...."Bong" is a corruption of Bengali...or a Bengali corrupted by authentic Bong food...choice is yours...!! )

I liked the Bangla food they offer which is a rare sight in southern part of India. The seating arrangement is also very much like typical bangla restaurants of Kolkata and Dhaka lots of noise and sounds of dishes, the waiters cleaning the table every now and then and customers waiting to find an empty table. The cost of food is also very reasonable and hearing people speaking in Bangla was very welcoming. Just to inform you beforehand, the restaurant opens pretty late in the day and the foods are a bit on the spicy side but overall satisfactory. Warning: don't go to the washroom, you might lose your appetite before your meal.

Good bengali restaurant near Chennai Egmore Railway station. Good meals including rice, dal, two sabji and great side dishes like variety of fishes, chicken and mutton. Special mention about the Fish Ball Kofta and Prawn Malai Curry that tasted really good

Quite reasonably priced. Option for parcel is also available.

The restaurant can be kept a bit more clean.

Got good authentic homely food in Chennai for the first time at Annapurna. One thing I don't like about this hotel is 'misti doi' is not available here. Price is quite reasonable.
