A miniature Rajasthani Village I was told, we actually went a little late we entered by 7pm,by that time most of the performing artists were winding up their act. Folks dance, puppet shows, tight rope walking, magic shows were part of the act. It was a different experience in Chennai. The food was vegetarian of course but tasteful ,the service was wonderful,we never had Rajasthani food before so it was a pleasure .

We visited this place on Sept 28th - SATURDAY.
The place was very crowded. All the free rides that were included in the entry fee were having a lot of Waiting due to the excess crowd. Certain rides that were chargeable were less crowded and hence were easily available.
There was not a leaf moving, The heat was killing and the sweat was irritating.
Since there were rains in the days before, there was a lot of slush around, which made walking difficult.
Folk dances, Puppet show, Magic show were good and the artists performed well.
The DINNER was the best of all and kind of covered up for all the drawbacks. The food was very tasty and the boys who fed us, were very hospitable. Dinner was really the best of all with a good large spread meant for people with a good appetite.

This is my 3rd visit to chokhidhani chennai. The 1st and 2nd time i went there it was sunny and the place was also not very hot as it seemed to be one could comfortably spend the time there. My 3rd visit was yesterday it was highly cloudy and rainy as well.Trust me i had alot more fun than my earlier visit. The place seems to so cool and joyous with all those activities and rural music enchanting the place and recalling our old memories. There are also enough places where one can rest themselves during heavy rain. The view from the watch tower in this climate is truly an outstanding one.It is the best place for one to have relaxed day outing. It is entirely different entertainment place apart from those amusment parks.FOOD,SERVICE,ACTIVITIES & AMBIENCE ARE JUST AWESOME.

About 8 of us visited Chokhi Dhani last week for a team celebration. What we liked best was the unassuming and courteous staff who are always at hand to help. We were assigned a guide as soon as we had purchased the entry tickets! The guide pretty much stuck with us until we left the place about four and a half hours later!

While you will not find any single attraction that will take away your breath what you will find is an assortment of simple pleasures that the average village dweller would have enjoyed several decades back... the magician and mini-circus are good. The rat maze like structure was a disappointment and you can safely give that a pass during your visit. We thoroughly enjoyed the camel and bullock cart rides - what with one of our guys pridding the oxen to go faster and
faster! That was a load of fun in a weird way!

Dinner is vegetarian keeping the traditions of the region in line... you may have difficulty digesting the Bajra roti if Bajra has not been a part of your diet earlier... so give that a miss if you are unsure. Overall.... a very pleasant visit!

This place is only a patch on the original one in Jaipur. However, it's definitely a good place to hang out once in a while. The decor is quite nice; with colorful and rich designs on the walls and floors. The boating area is quite tastefully done. There is a camel ride and a bullock cart ride. There is a puppet show, acrobatics, and a magic show as well. Overall a good experience if you are a group and have little children. Lovely dances and music also light up the evening. The food is complete out-and-out veggie affair, but a good one at that, only, if and only, you have a thing for Rajasthani cuisine or open to trying out something totally different to your Tamilian palate! Guess, the place has scope to get better, but that's subject to it getting popular and more and more people visiting it! But, for more people to visit, there should be Tamilizing of the food, just like Indian chinese. :)
