Lydie is very friendly. She is the owner yet will come and serve you. When i ordered steam rice plus salad with cheese through the waiter she told me we the salad is also rice and we dont actually need steam rice.Glad we followed her advise.

The ambience is quite unique more to western style, more to nature theme. Seafood was tasty. We ordered grilled fish and it was yummy. Plan to try more seafood there. The tea was also fine.

This is an unassuming place very close to MGM Resort. The food is awesome and the ambience of the place is very quaint and informal. We really liked the place, service and food.

We went on a weekday for dinner and were the only customers there for the entire time we were there. It was this unassuming little restaurant sitting on the East Coast Road. We (4 adults + 2 teenagers + 1 child) were staying at a beach resort nearby and decided to step out of the resort for dinner. The only reason we decided to go to Lydie's was because it was located closest to our resort. But it did not disappoint. The place was a bit too dimly lit for our liking - but not much to complain about. The staff were very courteous and friendly. The interiors reminded us of the beachside-Goan-shack-restaurants. The bathrooms were clean and tidy. The food was superb! We ordered a variety of cuisines from Garlic naans to savoury crepe, lamb kheema to thondi (South Indian) fish curry, mushroom soup to biriyani - everything tasted great. Would definitely recommend this place !

Lydie has come to Madras 20 years ago from Belgium. She brought the genuine recipe of the Belgian fries - just the perfect cook - as well as the secret of the "brown sauce" to generously coat a great steack from Bangalore beef, which real non-veg amateurs will take rare. To brilliantly finish on a sweet note, don't miss the delicious Belgium chocolate brownie. The place is very quirky, and offers you the possibility to eat in a fisherman boat, your children will definitely love it !

Best restaurant for our french taste.
How to say: Food is "raffine", that's all. Everything is well balanced, accurately sharp, precisely cooked. It has been long time Sine I had so perfect balance in my mouth.
Paneer butter masala is a killer (5 hours cooked but you will not know more from Lydie) , steak and sauces going along same... And I don't mention deserts....
Chocolate mousse not too sweet, a little bitter, and caramelized hot bananas above vanilla ice cream will haunt my nights!
Just try it and you will run back to it next time!
