As Kurseong is not really a tourist destination, people tend to bypass it heading heading to Darjeeling or the other way to Silliguri. There are not so many quality options for accommodation or restaurants. However you will find Amarjeet to be clean, friendly and centrally located, some rooms having stunning views at the back of the Hotel, the reception is in the restaurant, which is not ideal, however the staff attend to guests quickly.
The food is okay, the restaurant has a really fantastic reputation and is always busy, The food was nice but nothing wonderful.

Do take the time out to visit Kurseong it’s such a fantastic little town, I have spent long periods here the past two years and cannot praise it enough, there are very few tourists around, so you really get the best from this authentic little place and are given the warmest of welcomes from the beautiful local residents. You are surrounded by tea gardens, most of which offer daily tours. If you enjoy walking Kurseong is a great place to be, the walk up to Chimney is breathtaking passing through many tiny little villages along the way. Hotel Amarjeet is just down the road from the quaint Kurseong railway station where the toy train leaves from each day, it’s a really enjoyable trip, which will take you 2.5 hours. It’s one of the best ways to see the Darjeeling region.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back have great views

This place is nothing but the BEST! The Food is perfect, Rooms are perfect, Hospitality is perfect!
Though it is far from Darjeeling Main City, But if you are looking out for Beauty and Peace, This is a place to be! There is a nice Sheesha Lounge right next to the hotel! Had an Amazing stay! Thanks! :)

Room Tip: Take up the KING SIZED Rooms as the rooms are big and have a great view!

Spent a night in Kurseong, on our way to Darjeeling; as we wished to travel via the UNESCO World Heritage - Darjeeling toy train (due to nature's fury, the train service from New Jalpaiguri was temporarily halted); stayed with the hotel; location is central, less than a minute walk from the Railway station; We're offered a room on the 1st floor, overlooking the main road; looked nice while we entered the hotel; but became very noisy as night appeared; the road is busy even in the night and hence extremely noisy; loved the food in the restaurant; the room and the service were okay. May be Okay for a transit, but ask for a room on the back side overlooking the valley, may be quieter...

Room Tip: If you are using the Toy Train Service, this is the best location

We visited this hotel by reading the latest reviews but we got disappointed after reaching the location which is very far from Darjeeling. There is no good site seeing at all in n around the Kurseong. I advise not to visit this place we had a very bad experience, totally time & money wasting place. If u wanted to stay only in room den it's a best hotel except the reception area which is located exactly in the restaurant area which we didn't like that at all.

Room Tip: don't book road side rooms as the noise pollution is too much

Some of the best service in India. This hotel is a lovely gem and the restaurant serves wonderful food. The only down side was as it was on the main road it was a little noise but we have stayed in much worse. The staff were fantastic and the place was clean and very comfortable. I highly recommend a stay here.

I sent my parents on their anniversary for Darjeeling trip and booked this hotel after reading the reviews from TripAdvisor. Initially, it was very frustrating to reach this hotel which is 35 Kms and around 1.5 Hrs trip from Main Darjeeling. But as they reached and experienced the hospitality, its ambiance and the rooms they didn't have any complaint after that. I booked the Kings Room from where the view was fabulous. Food was pretty good. It was away from the Darjeeling city and surrounded by the Tea Gardens which puts it on the upper edge from any tourist who belongs to a metropolitan city.
Most important part was the hospitality and the helping nature of the staff. You just ask, they will help you for any problem promptly. In whole, the stay was awesome and worth staying at this hotel if you are coming to Darjeeling.

We stayed at this hotel after looking on internet. We stayed in a Kings room facing the valley with a beautiful view of kurseong. The hotel staff is very cooperative and the food is awesome(punjabi). We were taken care of very well by the staff and the Owner of the hotel Mr Jaspal.Mr Jaspal made us feel very homely. We stayed on the first floor(no lifts). The hotel is very close to kurseong station, barely a few metres away.We took the hotels car fro sight seeing and the car and the chauffeur were very good. Will recommend people to stay at kurseong instead of darjeeling and to definately visit Chimney in kurseong for its breathtaking view.
