“One can not review Majestic Epics”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 December 2013

This is one mountain peak which certainly takes away your breadth and leaves behind memories difficult to be erased even if you want to. The best way next to actually trekking up to there is by seeing it at Tiger hill on a clear day when you come across the grandeur of it in Golden color. A must see place for any one who happens to go that side.

“How do you review a mountain?”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 November 2013

It's the third highest mountain in the world, of course it's brilliant.

It had some good rocks, the ice and snow was also quite good - definitely above average.

We didn't actually go up the mountain - we're not stupid, trekking to Goecha La pass was hard enough - but it is the most amazing place I have ever been.

“What can be said about the grandeur”

We went to the Tiger Hills early morning (around 3am) to witness the dawning sun behind the Kanchenjunga range. The fire play of the sun's rising rays bewildered all our expectations.

“Fantabulous!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 November 2013

Been an avid mountain lover since childhood and having conquered few mountains in Himalayas earlier the sight of the 3rd highest mountain in the world and the highest mountain in India was simply magnificent and breath taking. Although the view from the hustle-bustle sounds of the crammed and over crowded, packed to its maximum capacity town of Darjeeling seemed lame but the sleeping buddha was a sight to behold. We had come back from a trek conquering the tallest peak in West Bengal - Sandhakpu and had seen Kanchenjunga from an elevation of 13,500 feet the vista was still incredible. Heard quite a few stories from the trek guides and camp leaders of the enormous challenge the climb to this peak has to offer but India have this dream to conquer and climb. Amen!

“top of the world”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 November 2013

Seeing the sunrise at Tiger Hill, the pink glow of the sun first hitting the mountains followed by the sun appearing on the opposite side was an amazing experience.
And sitting in the garden of the hotel, suddenly to notice the clouds shift and the peaks of the Kanchengunga appear seemed like magic.
