Banana Leaf is the quintessential South Indian restaurant, good for both “meals” and “tiffin,” washed down by strong filter coffee. It is attached to a small traditional hotel, and offers breakfast as early as 8 am. It remains open for lunch, dinner and everything in between!
The menu is basic, but attractively presented. The décor is functional and uncluttered. The food is invariably served fresh and piping hot. The service is prompt and cheerful. The prices are quite reasonable – a five hundred rupee note covers three or even four persons.
Highly recommended for inexpensive family outings.
