This was the first time we had visited Cullman, and were looking for a place to eat that wasn't fast food. We saw Grumpy's and decided to take a chance on it. We were definitely not disappointed! My wife had the spaghetti with meat sauce and I had the chicken alfredo. Both were delicious! They both come with garlic bread that is out of this world. A whole small load of freshly cooked bread, loaded with butter and garlic. I just about would travel the hour each way just to eat that bread!!

Do you want Manicotti that tastes fresh, with fresh salad, and a LOAF of very good garlic bread for 7.95 (lunch special), with good tea/refills, less than $2, and be surrounded by other similar choices and scrumptious looking desserts, generous portions, excellent regular prices? If not, what is wrong with you? Take away the 2 dollar signs, and put them on the other nearby Italian place... Whatever the name is...I may never look it up, as Grumpy's could be called Utopia!

We visited Grumpy's on a Thursday night. There was only one other couple in the restaurant. We were seated and drinks were served quickly.
We ordered an appetizer and then our meals. 30 minutes later another couple came in and was told that it was at least an hour wait on the food . We were not told that.
We asked our server about our appetizer and were told they were really busy.
An hour later , the server came to the table that came in after us and apologized and brought them something to munch on while they waited. Probably our appetizer. We were offered nothing.
We were hungry and I had foot surgery the week before. This was my 1st outing out after surgery
After an hour and half of no food, we left.

Don't go there if you are hungry unless you are friends with the waiters.
DIsappointed!!!

We were in town for the night and wanted Italian. This for the bill. We were basing our choice on reviews and I think some of them missed the mark a bit. Grumpy's is a bit like a Fazoli's. Just kinda generic Italian food. Nothing quite special about it. The bread was quite good though. If you are in town and desperately need pasta this place will work.
