i went to taj cafe with an open mind and hungry. the poor waitress spoke no english and i basically played the point at the picture game. after ten minutes or so she was rescued by the friendly owner who did a good job of explaining his offerings. i started with the appetizer sampler platter. the falafel was dry and the battered fried vegi thing was...well...battered fried veg-all. i just wasnt excited about anything on the order. then i ordered a lamb gyro...it came out really greasy and the bread was dissolving in my hand. i really needed more tzatziki sauce to flavor everything with and the poor waitress brought me sweet and low! there are many components to making this business work and they all have to be in place. offer splenda or equal to your customers....hasnt sweet and low been killing rats since the seventies. i will have to admit the garlic naan with mint sauce was tasty but my total bill was near 30 dollars!
