We stopped in Fairhope as part of a 4 day drive from New Orleans to Orlando to catch our flight home. The town itself is lovely in the evening and the restaurant did not disappoint. Even though there were only a few guests there, we received excellent service and the wine list was impressive. the fried green tomatoes and pork chop meal was super and they were prepared to readily accommodate some dietary restrictions we had. The funky ceiling hung art is a neat touch and the ladies washrooms are great - it's nice when a restaurant makes an effort to make the washrooms match the rest of the decor and the toiletries were a nice touch. We enjoyed a great digestive at the bar with some local patrons. Relative to the other places where we ate on holidays the prices are well worth the quality of service and food provided.

We ate at Tamara's after the Fairhope Mardi Gras parade and, while it was quite crowded, they had a table for us and the service was prompt and helpful (explaining the several specials of the day). The seafood was excellent: members of our party had crab encrusted grouper, crab cakes, and oysters and all agreed that they all tasted fresh and flavorful. The live entertainment (a saxaphonist playing soft jazz with a light synthesizer as background) was so good that we thought that it was prerecorded until we saw him in the corner of the room. I would highly recommend this restaurant for somewhat upscale dining.

Looking for someplace new to eat, we gave Tamara's a try. It's downtown but parking was easy. Inside it has nice decor, soft lighting, art work, well spaced tables. The service was quick and attentive. The special was delicious but at $30 it was a bit expensive. I'd definitely go back for the pleasant dining experience.

Went for our Anniversary!! Great food and service. Limited menu, which I prefer. Prices were about what I expected. Live music, over all a very good dining experience. Hope to try the dinner menu soon.

I just ate in this restaurant last night while attending a conference in Fair hope Alabama. This restaurant is downtown ( as the name implies). Once you enter, your mood will become calm as you soak the decor of earth tones walls decorated with professional art work specifically chosen for its soothing effects.

The grilled a oysters were great tasting and huge in size. The seared tuna was fresh served over a bed of cabbages and a baked potatoes. My colleague ate a very well prepared prime rib served with cheese grits and veggies. The menu is extensive and all dishes have a great presentation. Also the chef will prepare a special meal if you choose. Our waitress Christy was Exceptional and made us feel a were were special guests.
