We came off the interstate on the way to Florida looking for a good lunch. Tired of fast food, we hoped that if we drove around a bit, we might find a "Meat & Three" kind of place. This quaint little cafe on the city square caught our attention and we decided to try it. Honestly, it doesn't look like much, with a swinging screen door, no less, but it was a very pleasant surprise. It is run by a very nice lady who cooks the food herself. She came out and talked with us and was just so very welcoming! I had fried pork chops (just this once) and fresh cooked vegetables, cornbread and tea and it was really good. Then for dessert we topped it off with a bowl of banana pudding just like Mama used to make. I understand she makes it at least twice a week and I can't guarantee you'll be there on the right day, but her other desserts were absolutely yummy looking too. This was a nice little stop.
