First of all, it's about twenty miles from Civilization. YOU be the judge of whether that's good or not. If you like dining out a lot, maybe not. BUT, it's a wonderful beach, great condos and relaxing as you could hope for. We went for Christmas, and it was cold, so not much to say about the Gulf Waters or pools. Pools looked great, and there were four of them, and plenty of hot tubs. You're right on the water with great day and night views. Spa on the grounds as well as a fantastic restaurant, The Condo apartment we stayed in lacked for nothing. Total comfort and relaxation, which is what we went for. The folks working there were all exemplary. The local area has enough to keep you occupied, and dining in town is plentiful. Even though we had unexpectedly bad weather for the visit, we had a good time and will probably return.

We stayed in the condos. I have stayed twice and will be returning. I took my boys for Spring Break 2013 and took a work related trip there in 2012. Stayed in a 3 bedroom the last time, although next time we will probably get a 2. It was an awesome experience and we had a wonderful time. It has several amenities and its on a gated community. I LOVE IT! All rooms are full kitchen, at least 2 baths, fully decorated and themed apartments. Nice TV's and DVD's. Patios facing the beach. Heated pools, tennis courts, gym... I LOVE IT! They have a restaurant on the premises, but who needs that when you have a full kitchen! Just cook your own meals. There are washer & dryers in each unit also. Home away from home.

Room Tip: You can look at each individual room on their website.

We travel to The Beach Club often. I've been visiting since the good old spring break days of school. Its pretty laid back. The beach is beautiful. The staff is friendly. The rooms are great. And the food is delicious! We will continue to visit The Beach Club.

This property is a little further out from the action but that's a good thing when you're looking for some relaxation. Lovely condos with great views of the bay if you don't mind the oil rigs in the distance. They look like twinkle lights at night.

The property itself is well maintained and organized. Look closely at the rooms online since they vary greatly depending on the owners. Some say they "sleep six" but our unit had bunk beds in a closet! I couldn't see adults sleeping comfortably in there. I would recommend for a family vacation.

We spent four nights at The Beach Club which consists of four mid-rise condo buildings, a central club building with indoorand outdoor pools, ffitness/workout room, restaurant, etc., all fronting a white sugar sand beach so white it looked like snow. Actually, you could call this a destination resort, as it includes just about all the amenities one would want for a beach vacation, including another restaurant on the grounds much closer to the highway. We were on a tour and the condos had been booked for us through Spectrum, which as it turned out, was a good thing for free admittance to the beach club next door.

We were told by our local guide there are several different floorplans and sizes of these beachfrront condo units, but many are the typical two-bedroom, two-bath units like ours was. Like many fully owned condos where the owners put them in the rental pool, no two are furnished and decorated the same, so expect to take pot luck with the kinds of furnishings, decorations, colors and upkeep. Our tenth floor two bedroom condo was decorated extensively with shells and netting and driftwood, which made it an amusing, over-the-top beachy experience. There were some signs of wome wear and tear here and there, but nothing that was a turnoff.

A major problem was that we could not turn off the two TV sets, finally finding out how to mute them to get rid of the annoying elevator music, and then closed the armoir doors to hide the screen light. We arrived late Friday after maintainence had left and had to wait until Monday morning to get a maintainence person to turn both sets off. But once off, the living room set wouldn'ty turn back on, so back maintainence came, for the first of four consective visits during the next half hour. Finally, he got so fed up with the off brand TV set after nothing would work, that he hauled up a new TV (smaller, but at least working) and hauled the bad one off, explaining this is something the individual owners are supposed to take care of.

Kitchen was adquately equiped as was the bathrooms. After we visited a nearby grocery store, we had our breakfasts each day on the large balcony with its stunning and sweeping views of the beach and Gulf -- and the several offshore gas and/or oil rigs.

Room Tip: If possible, book your condo through Spectrum and try to get one of the two condo buildings that fla...

We stayed at the beach club for a week. We were on the 6th Floor in the Catalina Building. It was great view. We absolutely loved it. The only thing was that we rented through VRBO and the owner stated that since they were members of the club that we didn't have to pay any additional fees to use the club pool, fitness center, etc etc. We got a pass given to us the first day and it also worked the next day. The day after it did not work and found out that you have to pay additional. No one told us this and at that point we didn't pay the additional to use the club amenities. It really didn't matter because the pool in front of our building was nice and never crowded. I never used the fitness center because it didn't open early enough so we felt like we didn't miss out anyways.
The condo we stayed in was very nice, and clean. Had a great view. Kitchen was stocked with anything you needed to cook a meal.. It was great!
We ate at the hideaway. Loved it. Recommend the nachos. Very very good!
It is a little bit of a drive to the action in gulf shores. We knew this going in and didn't bother us. We really enjoyed the location since it wasn't as crowded. The drive really wasn't that bad.
Overall definitely would recommend and would stay there again!
