“Not the best in town but certainly don't regret going”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 July 2012

Been 3 times --middle of the road for BBQ but sides are quite good--what does one say? Food never bad but never special--always find coupons in coupon books et. so it makes for a meal without cooking it ourselves without breaking the bank. Without coupons and being close though--probably go to a BBQ I prefer more. Its personal preference--no knocks

“Great BBQ on the cheap”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 July 2012

I was looking for BBQ that was open past 8 on a Wednesday and these guys looked good. I called and he said they were only open till 8:30, but to come down anyways. When i got there, there was still 6 or 8 people, and more came in after me. You order yourself, yet they have eat in seating. I didnt know I had to order myself until another couple didnt either. for $9 i got a pulled pork sandwich plus 2 sides and a drink. Food came out quick and boy was it good. GREAT pulled pork, and the homemade mac & cheese was off the hook. The cornbread was ehh....not bad, not great. I had the pudding for desert which was good. Overall, good food, friendly staffers, but they need a sign or something saying "Hey, dont seat yourself, come and order your food then sit". Yeh, something like that.

“Moving - still in Hoover - Highway 150 - Patton Creek”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 April 2012

This is my second review of this property. It is moving to another location on Alabama Highway 150 (Patton Creek Mall), also in Hoover. The food was as good as I rembered, but this property has ceased serving draft beer and has only a limited selection of bottled beer, in anticipation of the move within the next month. I will try the new location at Patton Creek Mall, also in Hoover, but closer to Riverchase Galleria Mall.

“Delicious barbecue”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 January 2012

Bought just meat and sauce with a few sides for an outside get-together. Barbecue was wonderfully sweet and smoky with a little zest. Very good experience.

“Small sports bar - great food - on Highway 150 in Hoover”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 December 2011

I ate lunch at this property today, and I would eat there again if I am in the area. This is a small sports bar located on Highway 150 (John Hawkins Parkway) in Hoover, towards Bessemer. The pork bar-b-que sandwich was outstanding and plenty to eat. The beer selection is limited, with only one draft beer. The total tab came is under $15.00. Eat here for the food, not the atmosphere. There are 2 disadvantages - 1) there are only 20 (twenty) tables and booths; and there are only 2 (two) employees - one to man the counter and another doing the cooking. Both were friendly, but seemed rushed.
